@ZenithMermaid The hire a caterer doesn't work at all in my game, it has been broken for a long while now. Also, why did Maxis remove the options for the Cook for home or am I having a false memory of them adding that with Get Together update and then removing it later on? So yeah caterers have been broken for years now for me.
I have noticed that if I have the Simple Living lot challenge on, no hired staff, including caterers, but also nannies and butlers, will cook. If I remove that lot challenge, they will all cook. I don't think that's the case with everyone reporting here, but someone did mention that it started happening after installing Cottage Living, so I thought I'd mention that I have noticed the same thing when using that lot challenge. This happens both with and without mods in my game (I play without mods (and I never use cc) in a new save after every new pack).

This used to happen occasionally. Now it happens 100% of the time. Caterers are useless. They come in and immediately go workout or sit at the computer. If I dismiss them and send them home, the next one I hire does the same thing. Completely broken.
