I removed all my mods prior to starting up the game and went into a fresh save. First, I used a sim I already created prior to the patch that had the trait and noticed the problem. Then, in the same save, I tried with a premade sim (Dennis Kim) and he too didn't get the moodlet. Finally, I deleted that save, logged off, deleted localthumbcache, restarted the game, and opened a new save with a freshly created sim with the trait. Still no moodlet. A question for all: Do you have Eco Lifestyle installed?A quick investigation shows that this issue does not appear with Eco Lifestyle installed. This is because the eco footprint tests fail without the pack.

I have the same problem. Sims traits are Loves the Outdoors, Perfectionist and Altletic, lives in San Myshuno. My sim was outdoors for 12 sim hours consecutively, in the same map. Never got a happy moodlet for being outdoors.I've tested in San Myshuno and Oasis Springs. An odd thing happened in Oaisi Springs. My sim went to that big park in the center of town and got a +1 to Happy moodlet, but it was the kind of moodlet that a sim gets from being indoors around high-end objects, like paintings, et.al. The buff icon with the one with the picture frame. Another oddity was that the buff was on a timer and my sim only received this moodlet while standing near the pond that's closest to where the toilets live.I removed all Mods/ CC before updating to the 1.63 patch, repaired the game, deleted my cache. Brand new game and brand new sim.The tense moodlet for being inside too long and tense moodlet removal from going outside from being inside too long works fine

Patch 1.65Loves the Outdoors trait is complete toast now. Priot to patch 1.65 to trait was partially broken (no Postivie buff for outside), buI at least got the Negative buff for being inside. After patch 1.65, my sim doesn't get the Negative buff anymore.Removed all mods, cleared cache, updated Origin, reparied game, cleared Origin cache and made a pot of tea I wish was coffee.

@DonroaAkashu My sim was inside for more than 8 sim hours at an indoor Maxis-made gym in Windenburg. It was never like this before the patch.I forgot to add that I made a brand new sim to test this in a brand new unedited map.

My sims is also no long receiving the Fresh Air moodlet but they are still becoming tense from being inside too long

I have a Sim with the Loves Outdoors trait too and I didn't know they were supposed to get a Fresh Air moodlet (since I never saw it in my game as far as I remember).
But I do know that they eventually get over not being outside since the tense moodlet wears off after a bit.
Also I'm an Xbox player, so it seems PC is not alone.

After the November patch, I noticed that my outdoor-loving sim no longer gets any moodlets at all from this trait, positive or negative.

I'm bringing this back because this is STILL an issue over a year later after it began. It started after the patch for Eco Living around June 2020. Sims with the Loves Outdoors trait no longer get the Fresh Air +1 Happy moodlet when they are outside. They do still get the +1 Tense moodlet when they have been inside too long. I do not have the Eco Living EP. Playing On Xbox One S, no mods or CC.

I'd been avoiding using this trait since last year, but yesterday I decided to try it again, and it actually works for me now. I was going to ask here whether it had been patched, but I see that someone else is still having the issue now, so I guess that's not it. I wonder why it's suddenly working in my game again?

Yeah I just tested in my game (I don't have Eco Lifestyle) and it's still an issue, which sucks. You shouldn't have to buy a pack to fix a bug.

This is still an issue.
If I have Eco Lifestyle installed the Loves Outdoors trait gives the Fresh Air +1 Happy moodlet when they are outside. But I removed this pack because I really don't like it, and without this the Loves Outdoors trait don't work as it should. No Fresh Air +1 Happy moodlet anymore.
The only thing this trait does now is to be able to entruse about the outdoors to other sims. And if you own Outdoor retreat DLC, you get a happy moodlet when you catch fish or insects. But this is a basegame trait so it shouldn't require to buy a DLC just so that trait would work...
