[OPEN] Not getting invites (Patch 1.106.148)

I NEVER get invites to friends townies birthday parties. At this point I think the game is not meant to have those, but it doesn’t feel right!

I’m on Xbox and also get no invites, the only phone calls I get are job offers over and over again 

I used to at least get festival invites (spice, romance festival, etc) but since the bigger patch last month those have stopped too. 

I know this thread doesn't have a lot of people Me Too-ing it or chiming in, but I found a reddit thread of a fair amount of people having this problem : Link 

It mentions a mod that I'm going to try out later today (when it's not 03:45 in the morning lol), I'm really hoping it'll fix things cause I really would like to experience these features, it makes me a bit sad how dead my sims' relationships feel with others outside the household.

Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? I think you would need a save from someone having this problem as it doesn't seem to affect everyone; but that said, just play for a while and notice there's no invites, events, stay overs, cupid's corner calls (wealthy weirdo, 7 perfect dates), playdates, restaurant invites, festival invites, etc. Researching genealogy on the computer doesn't generate any family members for stay overs either. 
What happens when the bug occurs? There's no invites to random events from sims outside the active household.

Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Yes, but I have also removed all of them and cleared cache, and the issue persists regardless of whether there's mods or not, on both old and new saves. I've also uninstalled and reinstalled the game, to no effect.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? It's been a problem the whole time I've played - I've had Growing Together since it came out but I've literally never gotten a stay over request. 

hello! i can't believe this is still an issue for A LOT of players across different platforms. I'm still incredibly busy with uni and thesis project (!!!) but before September i was using this small mod and add-on by Kuttoe  and it worked fine (not all invites were happening, but at least some plus another texts that improve relationships), keep in mind that the devs seemed to fix the issue with the Lovestruck patches so i can't entirely be sure that it was fixed or it was the mod.

In my case, i'll have to wait until mid-November to begin testing with and without mods and also see what EA/Maxis breaks or fixes with the upcoming DLC and updates lol

What happens when the bug occurs? Years ago we used to have the blind date calls from get famous, the parties from Get together, the rabbit hole invites to the opera/ bands from city living and birthdays for NPCs and various other invites like when your enemy would ringbup and say they had a crush etc from base game. Now all of these calls have disappeared and I mainly have festival invites and friends asking date advice, which is cool but sounds limited. for example my sim have lost his brother birthday only because she was living in a different household. It would be nice to have back at least some of them and to have the feature implemented with other kind of invites like university parties (it’s crazy my sim is the only one throwing parties while at university), friends weddings, dates, house parties, kids playground, teen meetings etc.
What do you expect to see? I expect to have different call invite in addition to the ones we already have like birthday parties, dates, university parties, friends weddings, etc

Having this kind of things removed from the game breaks the realism and immersion. It’s crazy because we used to have some of them in the past and they worked for me.

I'm adding a 'Me Too' to this as I've been playing the game for a year now with all packs except Werewolves and I've never had the Birthday Party invites or Blind Date invites the OP mentions. 

I do get the odd opera or concert invite from City Living, but I've only received those invites maybe 3 or 4 times in total across a year of gameplay and multiple different save files, and likewise with the party invites from Get Together, I've had about 4 invites in total for parties on the Bluffs or at the Ruins. But I get the invites to go to the City Living Festivals every single time they pop on the calendar.

Perhaps this is a tuning issue, in which case the City Living Festivals could be tuned down and the other type of invites could be tuned up?  

I'd really like to see more variety in the invites as the OP says, especially the Birthday Party invites or Blind Date invites which I have never seen in any of my saves.

Also, the BBQ family invite should be a thing that you remember? 

I've never had a birthday party invite ever and I've been playing since 2020.

Is it a pack thing? Parenthood? (I don't have Parenthood)

I usually play with NPC aging on.

I've noticed that invites come frequently for the first generation of a new save, then occur rarely or never for the 2nd generation on.

At least they added the thing where teens can call a friend on the phone to "Ask about college parties" for the sneak out opportunity!

I think the birthday party thing is base game, I would see them prior to 2020, I just think they've been drowned out by all of the events provided in other packs: festivals, club hangouts, the game automatically triggers the growing together/ lovestruck events whenever you start a new save game, etc.
