Issue During a Weenie Roast, the guests (NPCs) excessively use "Add Log", even when the fire is not low. Using "Add Log" on a normal sized fire causes the fire to become larger, and when chairs are placed around a fire pit, the large fire causes the chairs to catch on fire. This seems to happen with a much higher probability during Weenie Roast parties. Have a fire pit (Rocks of Fire) with 5 chairs (The Gordian Throne) around it and 1 open spot. I experienced this just a couple of days ago. I think I only had 3 chairs around the campfire, if that matters. But there were 4 separate fires at one event as a result. One of the fires (the last one - I ended the event after this) spread and caught 6 sims on fire. It was a lively party!

2019 and I just bought a bunch of expansions and yea I've killed half my town because if this fire and I have also moved chairs back. The people actually catch on fire it's bonkers .. can't seem to figure out how to avoid this :-/

Wrong kind of seating, perhaps. So after the second fire I switched it to one pit with three of the camping style loveseats and the other pit with all but one space filled with Gordian throne chairs. It was very difficult to accomplish any of the goals since the guests were constantly running to the front of the lot when each fire started. (I'm on a MacBook Pro with OS Sierra 10.12.1)

I have the same problems...without chairs....the ground just caugh on fire THREE TIMES in a single weenie roast party....quite a party breaker...
Not sure if it is linked with this bug but no one of my sim was able to extinguish these fires (no path error was occuring everytime) I had to wait for a sim to catch fire and then, by extinguishing the sim the ''ground fire'' went out too...

Old Thread, same problem. Guess this was never fixed. The fire pit ALWAYS catch fire with or without chairs during any "weenie roast" party which makes the tasks impossible to complete in time before the party ends.

Me too, I get it. It's an old thread. Nevertheless, the problem evidently persists.

I'm on a Mac. I do use CC and mods, but even when I haven't, I've had that problem. I didn't mean to but I'm pretty sure my weenie roast killed multiple mermaids in Sulani. None of them were Nalani, though, so that's a bonus.
Also ash piles are popping up and I'm not certain what is causing them. It happens at restaurant tables and sometimes when the command for a sim to clean up a pile of trash fails. The cool thing about the trash pile spawning situation is that the trash pile will respawn and I can scavenge for more parts.
