[OPEN] Researching some plants does not result in notebook entry

Cats & Dogs, City Living, Get To Work, Cottage Living, Eco Lifestyle, Growing Together, High School Years, Seasons, Horse Ranch, Werewolves, Strangerville, Parenthood, Outdoor Retreat, Jungle Adventure, Romantic Garden, Nifty Knitting, My First Pet Stuff, Moschino, Luxury Party, Laundry Day, Holiday Celebration, Fashion Street Kit, and Desert Luxe Kit.
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Have a sim with adequate gardening skill perform the Research action on a Blackberry or Grape plant
What happens when the bug occurs? The progress circle on the action continues as normal, but when the action ends no notification appears and no notebook entry is created.
What do you expect to see? A notification appearing informing me a notebook entry has been created, and a corresponding entry in the sim's notebook.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Never used.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Neutral/Not Sure
This may be happening with other plants as well, but the household I'm playing with only has two in season species of plants right now (the other is black bean, which was researched with no issue) so I don't have further data at this time. EDIT TO ADD: The in game season has changed and now that the grape plants have grown enough to be researched, they have the same issue.
While I have used mods in the past, this save was created in a game with CC disabled and has never been played with CC enabled.
I bought a lot of packs in the recent sales, so it's unclear if one of them might be responsible.
