[OPEN] Some windows are grey and opaque on MAC

I'm running Sims 4 on Mac and I'm having some graphical issues. All muntined windows are grey and opaque from both the interior and the exterior. Doors with windows incorporated into them and windows with no muntins i.e. only a single pane of glass work normally and are transparent. Also, sometimes when I switch my graphic settings around a few windows will turn jet black and the only remedy is to sell them and buy new ones; this extends to my neighbours' houses as well.

    What kind of graphics card/chip does it have and do you run the game in laptop mode ?

    Graphics: Intel HD Graphics 5000 1536 MB and i do run it on laptop mode but it runs the game very slowly

    It's a known issue with laptop mode. Hopefully EA can fix soon.

    I have the exact same issue - latest MacBook Pro Retina. Windows become clear only when zoomed in right to them. Am running latest version of Yosemite and have played around with various settings but nothing has fixed this. Quite annoying as light doesn't appear to be going through them as well so all rooms are dark. Only windows in doors are letting in light.

    Hi, I am running The Sims 4 on my MAC, and the windows seem to be non transparent. They're grey and I cannot see through them. PLEASE HELP!

    Hi,

    I had this problem too to start with, but I didn't like the windows anyway so I changed them and they're all clear now, so try deleting the original ones and re placing/buying them and they should turn clear, including the larger ones.

    This also happened to me. What I did was go to options menu in my sims game and clicked game options and switched the graphic quality to high.

    And make sure to restart to game!
