I made an aromantic sim in a household with three alloromantic Sims. I tried to get him to become woohoo partners with one but he was always rejected no matter how high their friendship was. So I tried with the other two and I was able to get them to agree to the partnership, but they wouldn’t woohoo. So I made them woohoo partners with each other to see what would happen and had no problems. So I went into CAS and changed the first Sim’s romantic orientation and now everything works fine. The Sim being aromantic was the problem.
So I think for most of you, and I figure out something on my side, it happened many times for me, to have sims becoming woohoo partners and then getting involved romantically. Then sims start to reject. I think after a certain level of romance, they will reject if they are woohoo partner, so I tried to ''end woohoo partnership'' in friendly interaction, and then they were able to woohoo under normal romance category.
Not sure how it was implement in the game, but these are my observations and solution, since they are romantically involve and want to woohoo, no point to keep that woohoo partnership for friends... but it should not prevent woohoo to happen though, by all means.

Yes, it appears as if implementing the woohoo partnership system broke the woohoo system for regular romantic relationships. For some reason, sims can't be in a woohoo partnership and a romantic partnership at the same time with the same sim (I dunno if it's intended that the woohoo partnership won't automatically end/transfer into a proper romantic relationship).
Sometimes ending the woohoo partnership with the romantic couple fixes the problem and they can woohoo through the original system, and sometimes not. Sometimes you have to fully end the woohoo partnership AND also "ask to just be friends" to dump the relationship meter, and then restart the romance all over again to get it to work properly.
This has been my experience.
TL;DR? It's best to try and keep woohoo partnerships only with sims you have zero interest in actually becoming romantic with. Because doing both breaks the game.- mzda_grl3 years agoSeasoned Hotshot@Katawampus227
I think of Woohoo Partners as "friends with benefits". A true romance would have two people dating, in a romantic relationship, not just woohoo'ing casually lol
