@d87257f0368ae7b1 Although this post quite old, however I would like to share the solution, because I had the same issue and I could not find a way how to achieve that aspiration neither myself nor from searching through forums. My child sim had even level 10 video gaming skill. Until I found a solution yesterday...

The point is to suppress the angry and tension emotions. I used crystals for that. I am not sure if it is doable when you have only a base game, I used Celestial Crystal Crown from Get Famous pack, and once the child wears it with the crystal equipped he gets a buff to suppress those emotions. The aspiration was done in few minutes.
