Re: [ARCHIVED] Can't make changes to build

Recently (not exactly sure when it started) but at least since this year (2024) my build mode messes up and i have no way of fixing it. I have tried literally everything that any of you are going to suggest - i have removed all mods, i have repaired the game multiple times, i have reinstalled the game, i have removed the folder and started the game to create a new folder, and then within this brand new folder i have made a new save and started completely over with none of my old lots, but i did use my old households. Still this glitch shows up in my game and it literally infects my entire save file, all my lots, and likely all my households saved from that save or the previous save i had been working on that i had to give up on due to this glitch. When it first started affecting my game so badly i could no longer build, i saved that lot to my library, and in a brand new save that started from a brand new folder, i downloaded the lot and immediately the glitch occurred. I have had it pop up again in my newest save, and upon creating another brand new folder, and a brand new save, downloading the previous lot i had been working causes the same thing - glitch. It is random what causes it, once it was caused by trying to resize rooms or roof pieces, then anytime i tried to do that my game would glitch, another time it happened while making a fence, and this most recent time it happened while trying to using the undo function - and now anytime i try and press undo my game freezes, but it doesn't act like it's frozen - music keeps playing, you can move the camera but you can't place anything, if you try and move an object it just disappears from your cursor when you click to place it, and nothing from the build menu can be placed either. If you go into live mode the sims just stand around and you can't interact with them or tell them to do anything, time does not move. Can't save, can't exit the game because it gets stuck on an infinite loading screen, you have to force quit the game. And like i said before, i can't even start a new save and continue working on my lot as it will do the same glitch as soon as i download it on a fresh save file. Basically my game is a brick unless i only play live mode? Haven't had any live mode glitches, seems to be build mode specific, and i have yet to find a fix that actually keeps it fixed. 

I have been playing this game for over 10 years and have built a lot of things that i basically cannot use ever again because i'm afraid they will infect my current game and make it unplayable sooner than the glitch would pop up on its own - which it keeps doing. This issue happens with no mods and i believe its an issue with the actual game, and i have no idea what to do at this point ☹️
