There were 2 game updates released today, can you please verify for me which version number you're currently using?

My Sim lives in Journey's End right next to the ocean haha so having the boat is great for a relaxing activity

Maybe the signs are just bugged out

At least if it works for you you can still fish until its fixed lol

You can check which game version you currently have by following these steps. 

i updated the game at like 9 0,clock at the evening (in the europe time)

it's now almost 12 0,clock at near night but i can do an another update
i had no idea there were 2 updates

i did both updates just to make sure but the boat should have to do for now untill the bug is fixed 🙂

I'm having the same issues on Mac. Version 1.108.318.1220

i have both patches from july 23 2024 and this is an issue ever since the updates. vanilla game

After downloading the new updates fishing still doesn't seem to be working and my sims can no longer pay their bills but weirdly enough, in my other savefile it seems to be working just fine

I have managed to get my sim to fish from a boat but they behave as if the cannot reach the fishing sign.  I've tried all the fishing places in the volcano are and its the same but not tried ther areas.  My sim is a vampire NOT a mermaid

I can't fish in Sulani either 😠

As of today with all current updates and using the repair on the EA app this fishing bug remains. I am on PC. You can "collect water" for eco living from the signs but not fish. I have tried making clubs, fish together, fish alone.. as others are saying.. you can fish from a boat, but that's the only way to my knowledge. 

I'm having the same issue. I removed my mods (only MCC and UI) and repaired the game. I can't fish at any of the spots in sulani, but can fish from boats.

I checked my version number and it is 1.108.349.1020

Bought my Xbox Series X in July and downloaded the Sims4. Bought all but two Expansion Packs, 8 Game Packs, 12 Stuff Packs, and 8 Kits. Can’t fish in Sulani. Tried using boat like so many have. I can sail but cannot stop to fish from it either. Love living in Sulani. I do not use mods nor have I downloaded cc content. By now, I have Sims 4 version 2.0.2.2310.

Ok, so I have previously been able to fish in sulani at the signpost near the beach but I tried yesterday at the same spot, randomly and they have the "can't reach" animation and thought bubble.

I did think it looked a bit sunken down in the sand/water more than it usually does but as it's not a build able area I can't see if it needs lifting up ☹️ 

You can still fish from a boat in Sulani. I was able to catch a angel fish while fishing from a boat in Sulani for the Grim Reaper awards.

Also still having this problem on PC with the latest version as of today.

That´s right, I have the same problem whit fishing in Sulani.
