I had a problem with this waaay back. So I used mcc to disable autonomously mean intercations. Still works fine for me.
My couple is very close, so I don't understand these sudden situations where they offend each other.
I've noticed that it happens more often just after they've been flirting for a few minutes, though.
The comic that appears while one of them is offending the other always shows the same image (at least in my case) and it's a bunch of simoleons, I don't know if that's relevant.
This is happening to my sims as well, they have a great relationship, they are engaged, but then last week I had the fiancé do a mischief animation of impishly pester my sim and it left him with a festering bitterness/ grudge that lasted for days, talk about thin skinned, until the friendship bar was totally full again and it went away. so far so good, I thought the problem had been solved but no, today his fiancé made a spontaneous joke that fell flat and their friendship bar decreased slightly, the next sims day, the mean interaction popped up spontaneously and he yelled at his partner for no reason, he was happy, no festering grudge sentiments, i tried the cancel interaction when it popped up but was unable to cancel it. I had my sim smoothly apologize to his fiancé afterwards which helped somewhat but I live in dread as to when this going to happen again, it’s like the festering bitterness/grudge has never gone away and it seems to happen every time the friendship decreases even slightly, like from a joke that didn’t land. It’s frustrating and if it keeps up, it’s going to ruin their happy relationship and make them unplayable as a couple which is the whole reason I created them, to get married and have a happy family. I did report the glitch, I hope it gets fixed soon
