Re: Cozy Celebrations: Not Enough EP to Claim All Rewards

I got a very similar issue today. I'm not sure if it's the same as you, or because of today's quests, but I cannot claim all rewards, either.

It's probably a bug with Quest 5 in my case. The task to sing a song with an instrument checked off when I had my sim practice because he didn't have the skill points to sing, then I got the message that all quests have been completed, yet I cannot retry or claim the wreath.

    @Varasek Mine didn't have the skill points either but it worked fine nonetheless. The task title is a bit misguiding. The tooltip said to just play.

    Nevertheless strange that you didn't get all the points.

    Did you both get all of these tasks for quest 5

    - Invite Sim over to current lot
    - Cook Hallaca
    - Have Sims dance at the same time
    - Sign songs with instruments (playing an instrument is enough)

    @batsandbabydolls Also week 4. Those were those steps

    - Research about holiday traditions on the web
    - Talk about holiday songs
    - Listen To winter holiday station
    - Document your research.

    Yeah I got all of those too. My best guess is that at least one of the goals didn't give me event points when I completed them.

    No, I didn't. I don't know if it was because there were sims already in the lot, but I only got cook Hallaca and sing songs.

    Thanks for flagging this issue.

    Does this persist if you delete the accountDatadb.package file in C:\Users\USERNAME\Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4?

    @EA_CadeYes. I tried that individually and I also tried repairing my game and regenerating the entire My Documents/Electronic Arts/The Sims 4/ folder so I'm pretty sure I've reached the limit of troubleshooting I can do as a user.

    Hey all!

    Just wanted to let you know that I've spoken with The Sims team on this and as long as you complete all of the remaining event tasks, you'll have more than enough XP to grab every reward. 

    The final tasks will unlock tomorrow at 9am PT. 

  • I have done every task and completed every week and it still won't let me claim the last 4 rewards...I am playing on xbox 1 and have tried restarting the game and restarting my console and still nothing.

    Hi @LindseyT27,

    Can you get us a screenshot I can share with the team of what you're seeing when you try to claim the rewards or of the rewards screen please?
  • It says I don't have enough points but all weeks are checked off and say "Event Completed"

    In my case at least, the points from today's event were enough to make up for the missing points. Thanks for your help!

    Could you also let me know if you ever played offline during the event? 

    You can try the following steps as well:

    1. Turn off your Xbox One by pressing and holding the power button on the front of the console until the light stops flashing.
    2. When the lights on the front of the Xbox One and the console's power brick turn off, unplug the power brick from the back of your console (Make sure you disconnect the cord from the Xbox instead of from the wall).
    3. Wait at least 30 seconds.
    4. Plug the power brick back into your Xbox One and turn it on.

    This should clear the cache on your console and hopefully cause the game to resync with the game server to get those missing points. 

    Please let me know if that helps. 

  • I’m having that problem too I’m on ps4 I posted a couple post I don’t know if they were in the right place tho but here are the images 

  • @EA_Cade Yes i did all that the only thing I found to work was stay off my Xbox for a few days. Logged on today and it was fixed I got my rewards! Thank you for the help
  • I am unable to continue completing the event, as it will not let me claim the festive TV but I need it to complete the task. The tab for the UI with Jasmine is greyed out and it just keeps telling me to wait for the gnomes to fix it. I was only able to claim about the first 4/5 items. The others are available to claim but will not let me. If uninstall and/or clear caches I've only gotten the UI to show but still not able to claim. Idk what to do, I've cleared caches, turned off mods, loaded older saves, reinstalled. Any advice is greatly appreciated.
