What do you expect to see?
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Not now, I've removed them.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Don't know, unsure.

My invention constructor used to have all the animations broken. I've repaired the game numerous times since I last played a scientist. Now the constructor works and all the animation parts seem to be present, but the construction is still centered on the sim.

Just tested it again yesterday and I have exactly the same issue. Thank you Crayola4321 for posting this!
