Re: [FIXED] Plants reverting to dirt pile (Patch 1.76.81)
I keep complaing which others need to do as well. I am once again emailing with EA's Customer Experience <[edit: email address removed]> and I'm being given the run around in epic ways with every email sent. People need to complain and keep complaining or they will just ignore this glitch. I found a mod that fixes this issue so if a modder can fix the game so can EA! I mean after all EA doesn't support Mods so they should fix it ASAP! After emailing with many different people now they want my account number. I filed a complaint with the BBB the better business bureau and others need to do this as well. I know there will be glitches the problem is EA never bothers to fix some of them and leaves us with a broken game and that is not what I paid for.
@Tea-to-Infinity, I believe they may be referring to LittleMsSam's Gardening Workaround Fix. It's available under her Random Bug Fixes. It doesn't literally fix the problem, but it compensates for it. I haven't tried it yet, but it seems promising.
I use LittleMsSam's Gardening workaround mod - but it's not perfect. I still get dirt piles, but it has cut the percentage of crops returning to dirt piles by half. My current gardener sim may have to concentrate on oversized crops (which seem to be the only ones that work). But oversized crops are more expensive to maintain and take longer to grow and harvest. And also, oversized crops alone can't help you complete the gardener's aspiration.
Product: The Sims 4 Platform: PC Which language are you playing the game in? English How often does the bug occur? Sporadically What is your current game version number? 1.97.62.1020 What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? Get to Work, Get Together, City Living, Cats and Dogs, Island Living, Discover University, Snowy Escape. Outdoor Retreat, Spa Day, Vampires, Jungle Adventure, Realm of Magic. Perfect Patio, Cool Kitchen, Vintage Glamor, Bowling Night, Paranormal. Holiday Celebration Pack, Grim's Ghoulish Guitar. Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? This time I had mostly mature, blossoming plants. I harvested, played a bit more, then quit the game. I had just hired a gardener. What happens when the bug occurs? For the whole two in game days I had the gardener, the plants reverted to dirt piles when I returned to the lot or started the game. What do you expect to see? Mature grown plants that stay that way. Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Frankk Ita's ShowSimInfo. It's a script mod that passively gathers information, so it should not interfere. Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? No.
I've submitted to the thread before, I'm only updating because this time the problem occurred because my sim hired a gardener who took care of the plants while I was playing the FutureSims Labs lot. It went away after my sim dismissed the gardener. I restored the plants using 'testingcheats true' and making them blossoming, but it happened again the next time I accompanied my sim to work and the gardener visited, and hasn't happened since the gardener was dismissed.
I'm hopeful this information might help. The lone tree that got spared is a coconut tree. Not sure what the plant on the deck is.
