What do you expect to see? They should eat the food.

Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Neutral/Not Sure
Recently, any time the sims in my primary family try to eat anything or drink from the fridge, they automatically reset (sometimes briefly t-posing, but other times it is instantaneous) and the food appears on the floor. They aren't able to eat at all at least while at home.
Sometimes, the first time I ask them to eat after starting up the game, they will briefly be able to interact with food, but that stops working fast enough that sometimes they will reset mid-meal. Other times, there isn't even that brief window.
Every thread I've found about this bug says it is related to CC, but I don't have any and never have. Other trouble shooting I've done has included replacing their couches with base game couches as opposed to patches from an expansion pack and also moving them out of their house, replacing it with a copy of the lot, and then moving them back in. Neither of these worked.
I don't really want to move them out of the house entirely because I'm really fond of it, but I've been playing this family for 6 generations or so, so really I'd just like to know how to keep playing this family at all.
