My kleptomaniac never got anything she had stolen, but she did get two posters and chicken centerpiece for a table.

I am having the same issues as everyone else here. I go to swipe something and the object doesn't disappear. Then I go to return it, thinking that if I return it then maybe I can swipe it again and it'll work. No such luck......when I "return" the object stolen it then disappears from all existence. It is neither on the lot nor in my sims inventory. Also having the issue where only a few things here and there are able to be stolen, but those objects are few and far between. I hope this gets fixed soon too!
OK, patch came and went and my Klepto still has no swiped items in her inventory upon arriving home. This is so frustrating since my story sim is a klepto in the criminal career. Items from rummaging show up but no swiped items. They are disappearing when I swipe them, but are not in the household inventory.
I have removed CC, repaired game(twice), refreshed my folder and even made a clean save thinking perhaps mine was corrupted. How did this get missed in the patch when it was obviously an issue before it??????
It's February 2019 and it still seems broken. Annoying at the least.

Are you on PC/Mac ? Is your game all updated ?
Are you not getting any at all or just certain ones ?
Still having this issue as well. No mods. No CC. Game is up to date. I've tried repairing. I still don't receive any item that is swiped despite getting the buff and a notification stating it was successful. The item will disappear from the world, but never appears in the inventory. I received the first item I swiped (Just some food from a bar), but nothing else since.
- Is the stuff just completely disappearing from existence?
With the previous bug that was fixed, a klepto would steal something, and then it would appear in the household inventory of the people they stole from, just like it was being auto-returned instantaneously.
Have you checked the household inventory of the people you robbed? HI @Stardoozie

I was also having this issue and it was driving me crazy but I found the issue I was having was actually very simple. I was looking in the inventory of the Sim who was swiping the objects and found out these items were being placed in the inventory of the household which was under build/buy mode.
