I also had that bug, but only on my 7th date with the Tense Moodlet. My Sim doesn't have the "carefree" trait. I ended the 6th date around 2 a.m., sent my Sim to bed and when she woke up at 6 a.m. I saw that instead of remaining 20 hours, the timer had gone down to remaining 4! hours. I still tried to finish the challenge, but the timer went down way quicker (with red arrows on the moodlet) and the event ended for me at 08:45 a.m. So instead of 24 hours there were only 6 hours and 45 minutes to complete.
It's really annoying and I don't know what I could've done differently.
- @Nexria My guess is that your Sim slept in a very good or upgraded bed that reduced her tense moodlets. Some interactions and activities also reduce tense moodlets.
