Re: My sims disappeared!

I had a similar situation happen that I would like to add:

1. I have 4 families living in the neighborhood.
2. I switched from one while they were at work.
3. When I switched back, the sim icons were grayed out as if they were at work even though they were in the house and living. I just couldn't have any part in it.
4. I switched to a different house and instead of taking me to the house, it took me to the park. Again, sim icons were grayed out and I couldn't select them.
5. I fixed the issue by throwing a party and inviting the grayed out sims.
6. I switched families 3 times today.
7. The result being that one family completely disappeared from the neighborhood.
8. That family had family members living in 3 different places and anyone with that last name was removed from the game. The daughter who had gotten married and I manually changed her name was spared.
9. They are gone forever, not even in my library.
10. I did not do it. I went to manage the world so that I could move the last son into his own home when I realized they were gone. Their house still says they live there, but no family pops up. Then the other son who lives in a different house with his wife was also gone.

The biggest part of this whole thing is that anyone with the same last name as the disappearing family was also gone no matter what house they lived in. 

No, they do not appear in any families stored in the library, only those copies of them specially stored at the creation. 

I started with one family which I split up twice so the members live in 3 different houses. From the initial house, 1 sim has disappeared. From the second house the entire household has disappeared. The third house is fine, which is the most recent one played.
By disappeared I mean in the first house the missing sim's icon is gone, and he is unplayable. In the second house the whole family's icons are gone, but you can still see the household name and funds. When I try to play them the game attempts to zoom into the household but just freezes on the map view. When other sims visit the second house it says "nobody is home".

It's super annoying because the family in the third house have lost brothers, cousins and nieces. The majority of their family has disappeared off the face of the earth.

My Sims have disappeared too. First a whole family - says the houshold is empty and now parts of families and another whole family. This is definitly a glitch or a bug and it is very annoying.

Now unplayed sims are disappearing too!

I've created a lot of my own townies for my sims to visit and interact with. Problem is, sims keep disappearing into the abyss for me. These are young adult and adult sims that are poofing into said void. When I scroll over their respective houses on the map, I can see their children there alone with no adult. The sim children continue to age up, but the original parent sim never shows up again.

This problem happened to me to, but with children too, in one of my family's the mother and 3 children disappear, just the father is on the family now... ☹️

Ive had a Whole neighborhood dissapear, houses ive buildt, famelies ive made, happend right after the patch.

Complete households and sims that I made are disappearing in the game!

Some of my Sims' family members have gone missing!

My Sim had originally lived with her brothers. One of them got married and had a child, baby and another on the way! I decided it was time to kick them out so I did the whole split household thing and moved them into a new house. I had my Sim go over there a few times (to see if her sister-in-law had her baby yet!) and then one day, they were gone! Her brother was still there, but his pregnant wife, child and baby were gone! There is no sign of any relationship ever happening! I looked under manage worlds to see if they got lost, but nope! Its like none of them ever exsisted!

In fact, any of the meals she cooked when at my Sim's house say "Made By _________"! Just a long blank! So weird! I didn't notice any glitches around the time this happened.

Hi. I've been playing TS4 since it launched at midnight on Sept 2 and I have been playing a few different households to get family progression going. Well not too long ago I had Don Lothario woohoo with the entire Caliente family and after I moved him out into a new house, all the Caliente women were missing. No urn or mourning. They weren't the relationship panel. They didn't move households, they just vanished. It has happened on several occasions with 10 different sims and I can't take it anymore. At least one person disappears from an inactive household, and it happens after having a child, even if it is not the mother or father. I've had a few inactive households where both parents/guardians vanished, leaving only the baby in the bassinet. No one else seems to be having this problem from what I understand and I am almost to my limit with people vanishing into thin air left and right. I don't know what to do.

I have played 3 start" new game", and the last 2  will not keep the friends that i make in the friend box. they are totally gone!!!.  theyre not dark shaded when in the box etiher they are light grey.  So basically, i go make close friends and they go to the box, and then totally disapear!! never to be in the box again.   Whats going on? all that hard work to make a friend and then-nothing,   Thank you. 

I had this problem when I went to the Gym and got real friendly to another sim when I travelled home again the sim simply did not exist anymore. I had to find another sim and try again.

Has anyone looked into this

Many of my played familes in my Sims neighboorhood keep disappearing.  The name of the family that lived there remains, but thier pictures does not displayed. This has happened at least four times already.  Please help.

Do they physically still live there if you visit them ?

Hi there, i've been having an ongoing issue with TS4.  Basically, relationships among sims within a household are fine and working normally but I am unable to form any new relationships outside of a household.  I can meet sims outside (at venues or on the roadside etc) and they appear in my relationships panel as usual but the moment they leave they totally disappear from my relationships panel and I am unable to find them anywhere else again.

During certain career paths there is a requirement to have a certain amount of friends to get a promotion and provided I get on well with a sim when I meet them they are registering as being friends - its just that they dont seem to exist anymore.  As an example, I needed to have 7 friends to get a promotion, and I achieved this by meeting sims at venues, however my relationships panel is empty - like i havent met enybody at all the whole game. 

Also, I'm not sure if this is related but when moving house all the lots are vacant (I also noticed that I dont have any neighbours).  In TS3 when buying a house there would be some that your couldn't buy because they were already inhabited.

When I try to visit it says no one is home. When I try to play that household where the family disappeared from the  town loading map, it does nothing when I select play and never loads. I also tried to take that family to creat a sim and it just poppulates a random create a sim, not displaying none of  of the household data information( name, sims, etc). The town map i the only place that displays the family name, but the actual sims are missing.

some family members have disappeared, you can see when hovering over there house in the world map that they are no longer there and it can leave children living there on thier own. when you go in to the remaining family members relationships it is like the disappered sim never exsisted.

I din't quite understand but the first problem started after of about 24hours of offline game play that this first glitch appeared.

I was loading up my family of four presumably they should be at home and after the loading screen i got sent to a pub. With none of the family members. and all characters are gray and no where to be found.

exit to "manage worlds" and back to the faimily..works fine. Then this glitch appears again in the next family.

Okay, by this time you know it seems minor.

The incident that really pissed me off and till now i have to played my game due to this bug that might appear to the rest of my chracters.

There is a sim that i made live of her own after her brother moved out n got married. It took me a while before i realised that she has not visit her brother  and SHE DISAPPEAARED FROM THE RELATIONSHIPS category of this bar. saved and manage worlds to find her. Since you can't even call her.

The house upon being hovered over there is no resident in that house. Her face don't even appear. 

restart the game and she is still not there.

remove her from that  lot and moved in the libaray version of them into the game; the "newly of the create-a-sim" mode. Still don't work.

Thw lot when clicked play just zooms into that lot and hangs there. I know the loading page never zoom and either did the map have that function in th sims4.

IT has to be a majoy bug. Please help me fix this so i can carry on with playing sims 4. THANK YOU.
