Re: Off the grid lot with Windmill and Solar Panels produce no electricity{tl lot}

How many do you have?  Have you clicked the mailbox to make sure you're not autoselling?

I have a tent-dwelling Sim with an off-the-grid lot, but she was doing the food aspiration so she had a fridge and a stove (both options that work off the grid).  I bought her two wind turbines (also a laptop and a boombox--those, the fridge, and the stove are the only electrical items on her lot).  This was fine in the spring, but in the summer she kept running out of electricity.  She has no AC because she doesn't have a house. Does the fridge work harder outside in summer?  (If so, the game is smarter than I thought it was.)  I suppose it's possible she was "abusing" her boombox, but she did use it in the spring, too.  I bought her a third windmill and had her apply "energy-efficient device" upgrades to everything and now it's fine.

So... off the grid with windmill and solar panels can be... unpredictable?

    @xochiquetzl_xkvn Yes, everything is on store mode. I got the solar cell roof that should be giving me electricity and 2 windmills and 1 solar panel both on ground, but no matter what I do lights do not come on. All the electrical objects says, Power doesn't work off the grid." I can't use the fabricator, the weather control thing or anything its a little annoying to say the least.

    @Sid1701d9   I mean go out to manage worlds, then re-choose the lot you're playing.  I've found that sometimes fixes weird problems.

    My Sim does have a "micro home"--she has four tiles on the ground under her tent, lol--but I was going to suggest turning off-the-grid off and back on to see if that made a difference.

    She also applied "energy efficient" upgrades to everything she owns that is capable of getting it.  I don't think you can do it with lights.  (She has camping lanterns.)  My impression from off-the-grid play is that the windmills and solar panels don't produce a lot of electricity.  ☹️  I usually end up using candles and lanterns and saving the power for the fridge and the fabricator. As an example, my tent-living Sim has three windmills and only a laptop, a boom box, a stove, and a fridge; she ran out of power every day until I applied the energy efficient upgrade to the fridge. In another save, in two lots with two windmills and only a fridge and stove (that they barely used) they ran out of power multiple times a day until they applied the energy efficient upgrade to the fridge. So it’s possible you have too many electric items.

    I also don't know if there's a difference in how off-the-grid works in Mount Komorebi. I’ve now played off-grid in Oasis Springs, Sulani, and Port Promise (Evergreen Harbor) and the amount of power generated seems pretty consistent across those locations (ie two windmills will run your fridge and stove if the fridge has the energy efficient upgrade).
