Re: [OPEN] 'Ask About Day' named as 'Check in on' (no GRO)

@Sketch793 Ive adjusted the title on this. Not sure what it's supposed to be without the pack but I def also have Ask about day with it, so it's probably not about the want being wrong but rather the interaction if you don't have the pack.

The new patch that took the tooth loss out also seems to have fixed the ask about day interaction for me - how’s it look for everyone else?

@crinrict I do not own the pack. I could have sworn when the infant update first came out, I saw “check in on” and “ask about day” simultaneously because I remember comparing the two and deciding the second made more sense. But if “check in on” is a rename of “ask about day” I can’t have and must have been misremembering. Since then, I’d just been seeing “check in on” - until I played after the patch last night. For me, “ask about day” is back. At least for a parent talking to toddlers. As I was playing a 7 toddler challenge, my Sim did not have time to really talk to anyone else!

@crinrict I thought the "no GRO" would have made it clear. No, I do not have Growing Together. I'm pretty sure the original bug only applies to those who do not, and my hunch about the misnamed Gossip command is that it is, in fact, effectively the same bug.

That I saw a normal "Gossip" command on in-game New Year's Eve ("Gossip" is a promoted dialogue option on New Year's) tells me that, yes, the commands can temporarily revert back in certain circumstances. Doesn't mean the problem is fixed, though: it did not remain "Gossip" after NYE, only during.

I noticed that @PipMenace was talking to Toddlers while I was rereading the thread. My Sim was talking to Children, Teens, Young Adults, Adults, and Elders.

I did some more checking. My Young Adult Sim doesn't get Check In On or Ask About Day with Newborns, Infants, or Toddlers. Instead, she gets Talk About Day with Toddlers, which doesn't appear with any of the other age groups. I don't know if it's another wording for the same interaction or a different interaction.

So far, I've only used two Sims to check this. They are both Young Adults and female, in two different saves.

@HeroicJay Sorry. You might want to make your won thread for the gossip.

I don't know how much of everything is just a misunderstanding what appears when but it's best to keep this on the ask about day.
