I tested your save and the main issue seems to be that NPCs are really fast in your game to take over.

I moved some stuff on the table and then I briefly had the tend table interaction before the table was taken over.

So I went to build mode and moved the table and all the wares from the other Sim a bit which made the NPCs reset. I then moved one of my stuff on the table and used Tend table very fast. After that I added more.

It's really odd that the inventory doesn't really work on these tables though and you have to drag.

I have the same issue and I think it`s exactly what you are describing @crinrict because the NPC are claiming the table to fast that I cannot sell my own items. This is very frustrating because it works with City Living where NPCs sell stuff but there is always a free table for my Sims but I would also love to use the Community Marketplace.

This bug still exists fyi. ☹️

I'm having this issue in April 2024. Can't use the tables on any lot.

both inventory dragging item issues and the issue with NPCs going ham on the tables. 

Also unable to use the booths/stands from the new rent packs for street food stands.

I have a theory it may be tied to lot type. will be testing 

Follow Up : Will work on a generic lot type but simply will not work on community lot. 

You can tend the tables and you can add items directly to the table and adjust pricing.
The only way to sell is via the yard sale event button and giving each sims the sales pitch social cue

you can not hire vendors or man your own table for sales on the community lot. But i will repeat it does work on generic lot type.

Pretty lame it feels like i am not getting the whole experience of these packs
