Roof deco item not show up or being able to place them on roofs.

Product: The Sims 4
Platform:PC
Which language are you playing the game in? English
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
What is your current game version number? 1.72.28.1030
What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? All except kits.
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Open up the roof deco item in the build menu and select any item and try to place it on a roof!
What happens when the bug occurs? Nothing
What do you expect to see? Roof deco items appear
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Yes
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Yes
Please describe the patch or change you made. After the latest patch

Roof deco item not show up or being able to place them on roofs. Have checked this on custom lots and game lots, with the same effect, i.e. when click on roof deco item nothing happens. No object nothing.

EDIT by crinrict: Removed MSInfo as that contains too much personal info

    @crashdodgers 

    Did you have MOO on when you were trying to place the roof objects?  And when you tried to place anything, did you see either red or green outlines around the tile where you were trying to place the items.  Just trying to determine at which step in the process that the object disappears.  If you get the red, it means the object can't go in that spot so it won't place and will disappear when you let go of it but if you got the green, then the object should place and be visible.

    There is an issue that if you try to place roof objects with MOO on, they will jump up into the air and can't be placed back on the roof and just float above the roof.  Sometimes they can jump quite high up and depending on how close you are zoomed in, you might not be able to see them at all until you zoom out.

    @crashdodgers So, this was working fine for you before the latest patch?

    You might want to try repairing game through Origin and see if that helps.

    @crashdodgers 

    Since you play with mods, did you check this in a separate The Sims 4 folder with no mods or did you just disable mods in your current game?

    Reason I ask is that some mods will still be active even though you have the enable box unchecked.  The only way to be sure is to either move your mods folder out of the game path or the entire The Sims 4 folder.

    If you had TwistedMexi's Better Build/Buy or TOOL mods, those have been updated and what you are seeing with the roof ornaments may just be an outdated Better Build/Buy.

    Well for now I have given up on this as it looks like it could be an item in my package folder and if that is the case it can bloody well stay there, as I do not have the way with it all to searching through 26 Gb of packages.

    And no I do not hate the two programs you spook about.
