Sibling connections missing on family tree

From Jake's perspective showing Jane is his half-sibling (they share a mum but don't share a dad)

I noticed this today and thought it was odd. I’m currently playing the Grove family and it says that the father is actually the brother of another sim living in town and when I looked in the family tree to confirm i noticed both of their pictures just sitting there next to each other.

Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Just look at family tree
What happens when the bug occurs? Juniper is not showing as Sienna's Sister-in-Law only as Umber's wife. Grenn (I think) is showing as her nephew. When Sienna had a son, no one from Sienna's family is showing for him at all. It's like Sienna has no one. Also, Juniper and Umber had adopted children. None of them showed as any relation to Sienna at all. It's like they were just random NPCs. I deleted them.
What do you expect to see? I expect to see the appropriate family tree. It does create a problem for Visiting a Relative Milestone for infants as there aren't any for the infant (and there should be).
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? On console - never used.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? No

Pretty self-explanatory. Just would be nice for Sienna Grove's family to be listed properly. 

@crinrict Seems like they're the same issue. Missing family tree designation seems to be happening to other NPCs as well. Thank you. 

Has anyone heard if EA have acknowledged this? I've not spotted it on any patch notes and it's still continuing

What happens when the bug occurs? Siblings made in Cas dont have a line connecting them on their family tree.
What do you expect to see? lines connecting siblings on the family trees,

Siblings made in Cas dont have a line connecting them on their family tree and might treat each other as strangers in game. their profiles recognize each other as family. but for instance, i made2 sims and before placing them i seperated them into 2 different households and they didnt know each other and they have no line connecting them on the tree. 

luckily though this does not appear to be allowing incest.

This does seem to be only locked to family made in cas as children born in game show their lines properly, and it also seems to only be sims that dont have a parent with them in cas. 
if you make a parent and their kids in cas the kids show as related to each other and their parents. however if you dont make them a parent they dont show as having any lines connecting them in the tree. I know there is at least one other post about this  but as it is from a full year ago and this issue is brand new for me  i thought it may be okay to post a new thing. i have tried this both with and without mods and it happens every time.
