Sims 4 Falling Weather Bug

Product: The Sims 4
Platform:Mac
Which language are you playing the game in? English
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
What is your current game version number? Mac
What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? Expansion packs include: Island Paradise, Seasons, Get Famous, Cats and Dogs, City Living, Discover University, Get Together and Get to Work Game packs include: Dine out, Jungle Adventure, Outdoor retreat, Parenthood, Spa Day and Strangerville. Stuff packs include: Toddler, Laundry, Vintage Glamour, Kids room and Movie Hangout.
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Wait until it rains or snows then enter a building. If you can't see anything falling from a window, then you've most likely got the bug.
What happens when the bug occurs? I can't see falling snow or rain from inside a building. Falling snow or rain will disappear whenever I zoom closer or inside a building. I can see snow on the ground from inside but nothing ever falls. The weather works fine from outside though.
What do you expect to see? I hope to see falling weather from inside a building.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Never used.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? No

I've had this issue since I purchased Sims 4 Seasons. I thought this was normal until I saw people's online accounts. I've never been able to see falling weather before. I've repaired the game, reinstalled origin, reinstalled all of the games countless times. Nothing ever worked.

    Tried to, I also tried adding a video however the file is either too big or isn't supported and converting the file doesn't change the result. Which makes things a little difficult...

    This is all I see from inside buildings when snow is falling outside, the same things happens when it's raining.

    @happygamer1 Could you provide some info about your computer ? What's your graphics cards ? What options do you have your graphics settings on in the game ?

    My computer is one of the newer Mac air models. I've had it less than a year. My graphics consist of an Intel UHD Graphics 617. As for my graphics in the game, they're usually the default options so low quality, with a medium scene resolution and a resolution of 2,880 x 1800. I've had a muck around with the options in the past, and nothing has fixed the issue.

    Thanks 🙂 Can you update your macOS to the current version of Catalina, 10.15.6, You can do this through System Preferences > Software Update.

    It is odd that in the Config the game cannot find your Intel GPU as it is clearly shown in the GraphicsCards.sgr file which lists all recognised cards:

    card 0x87C0 "Intel (R) UHD 617" $cardLevelMedium $resolutionMedium

    I wonder if it is because the level is set to medium. We can change that but first please update your OS and see if that helps.

    oops.... I didn't immediately see your game isn't up to date either! Please can you update to the current version, 1.65. Maybe your GPU wasn't in the file in your current version (thanks @puzzlezaddict 🙂 )
