Tech Guru/Programing skill unable to advance

When playing as tech guru (start up entrepenaure) I was progressing programing skill to further carreer (currently at level 7-Next Big Thing) programing skill is required to be at level 8 to further career I leveled programing up to 7 with no issues. When programing skill progressed from 7 to 8 under Carrer tab ( J ) currently sates programing is level 7/8 under skills tab ( L ) states programing level 10. Played for a while to see if there was anything I needed to do to advance. I have made more than $250 from mobile apps and job performance was at highest possible. No career advancement. Please advise if there is something I'm missing or if I can do something to fix this a glitch.

    resolved by quitting job and getting job back. I thought I was pretty clear but thanks anyways.

    Not sure I understand you right, so making sure before merging with existing thread:

    You have programming skill maxed out and now you don't advance in your career anymore ?
