Transparent Pool Walls
Hey Simmers,
I am having issues at my Sim's house where the pools have become transparent in live mode but comes up normal in build mode (refer to the photos).
I've tried a new save to see if it still happens, as well as an old save but they are all popping up with the same issues!
I've also tried repairing and updating the game but nothing had changed, even the several updates that the Sims 4 has had has done nothing to fix the issues.
I'm pretty this is a glitch - any ideas on how to fix it or if anyone else is having the same issues?

Ok, I downloaded the lot and took a look. First off, that's a really nice build, impressive even. Great job!!! It's a keeper that'll go into my main save if you don't mind. 🙂
I got the same thing you did in build and live. Looks solid in build and transparent in live mode. It took me a while and a bit of experimenting to figure out what you'd done to get that effect to happen, but I think I did. What is going on is the game is displaying the inside wall of a foundation. It's like that in every build with a raised foundation, you just can't see it normally because you would normally have a house sitting on top of it. There's not much you can do about it. It's just the way build works. So, basically, you would have to rebuild that area a different way to keep it from happening which would be both laborious and time consuming. But I did find a reasonably good-looking work around. Just place a fence along the pool edge. Since it's raised, sims can't enter or exit the pool along the wall anyway. So, a fence won't block anything. And it would only take you a minute or so, if that, to make the change. See my pic below for the fence I used. The pic is taken in live mode. I moved the hot tub out of the way so you can see the difference where the fence is and where it isn't.
Tbh, I kinda like the effect of the see through pool side. Although I did notice that it is absolutely clear, and you don't get the water effect like you do when looking down on the water.
Hope this helps.
