so one playthrough i came across a familiar face. i was out on the sidewalk in front of my house, and would you look at that, there was a guy with the exact same name, face, clothes, traits as me... and i started talking to him and making friends with him. what the???
Do you still have the Sim in your library ?
Does he have the same job and everything your Sim has acquired after you started playing him or is he like the first time you put yours in the game ?
he is a sim i have saved in my library.
but i was self-employed working fom home. so i had no career. i can only assume he didn't have one either.
i can't go back and view the game save, because it was present on an "unnamed" save many saves ago, and has thus been overwritten... dumb issue to have on a pc game if you ask me.
Sims 3 had this issue where Sims from the library where just randomly put in the game. They were not the same Sims and didn't pose a problem as such. Only way to prevent was to take them out of the library.
I'll add I think for the gurus to ponder.
My Sim, named Pixie Rose, was invited to a party. I accepted and was transported to the friend's house. Once there, a caterer showed up, but surprisingly the caterer was a clone of my Sim. So there were two exact copies of Pixie Rose on the same lot. What's going on?
Suddenly I am seeing my sim around town, while I'm playing my sim. What's up with that?

Mine seems to have the same husband and the same life, except she does not leave the nightclub that I know of.
My sim is the same in every way. She just seems to be in the nightclub and she seems to stay there. However, she claims when asked if single that she is married to Gunner Prosper which is the husband of my sim, but she does not seem to know him when she is in the club. Although I have seen her come into the clinic when I go to work with my sim. Just weird. I do have her in my library, I did not get her off of the gallery, she is one that I made. I do have cc hair on her, but other than that she is original. She now is pregnant as my sim is, and that just happened. All this did not happen to me until after this last patch. It had happened to me in the sims2 but not in sims 4 until after this last patch.
Did you check the household manager if she exists twice there ?
