Unlucky Chef Scenario - No Fires

Product: The Sims 4
Platform: PC


Which language are you playing the game in? English


How often does the bug occur? 100%


What is your current game version number? PC: 1.104.58.1030 


What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? ALL


Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Play the Unlucky Chef Scenario, instruct Sim to cook


What happens when the bug occurs? No fires after multiple Sim days of meal preparation

What do you expect to see? Fire

Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Nope, removed.

Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system?  Don't know. I'd never played this scenario

Note:  For the full picture of the situation, I did put the stove on a peninsula in the pool so he wouldn't burn the house down. :D

    What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? ALL - but I disabled them I play only base game


    Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Play the Unlucky Chef Scenario and see what is NOT happening when a sim cooks.


    What happens when the bug occurs? Rarely any fires when the sim is cooking

    What do you expect to see? Frequent fires

    Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Clean install, this save file was never touched by mods

    Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system?  According to this forum the bug is here since at least the 2024. January patch (1.104.58.1030 )

    Note:  This is my first time playing this scenario. I chose Bob Pancakes as my "victim", he has a starter home with the cheapest stove. After the first fire, which took 4-5 cooking to occur, it took 3 sim weeks for the second fire to happen. He is either a luckiest sim alive, or this scenario is broken.

    Same problem here, no fires. Maybe because I made him an alien? But it still would be a bug

    Update: same thing with a regular non-occult sim.
