Providing my DxDiag here for reference, as it's requested for logging the issue.
It definitely seems to be an issue with multiple objects, as far as I can tell. Whether the objects are in your inventory, on the lot, or in your household inventory.
What bothers me most though is that it doesn't seem consistent...there's large lots that I use that experience no load regardless of people that are on the lot, and then there's others where you can't do something without having to wait 45m - 1hr (game time) before it time-warps back an hour; it's increasingly frustrating with the Parenthood Game Pack, as there are numerous autonomous interactions included (The same with a Toddler on the lot, though that's base game.)
Let's hope something can be done about this; it's been far too long since this issue first started becoming a problem.

I am really cross with this bug or glitch or whatever it is. I have just updated my graphics card, still have the settings on low and it is still no use. I have no mods, gone offline and used both 32 and 64 bit. I have lost 3 babies because the adults wouldn't feed them in time.
I have a large house, with lots of plants- but when that option is available to me, why shouldn't I? It is an EA problem, so why should my game have to suffer because they can't get the bugs out? I'm really cross that I can't play my game due to a bug that appears to have been around for about 3 years if you read the forums. Are EA doing anything about this?

Performance issues are usually issues that are tweaked over time and known specs of people that have issues helps a lot fix them.
