[XB1] Can't change CAS filters for piercings

Product: The Sims 4
Platform:Microsoft XBOX One
Which language are you playing the game in? English
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
What is your current game version number? 1.21.40.2300
What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? Everything for console up to date (24. January 2020)
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Go into CAS and try to change the filters for piercings in any category other than the everyday wear.
What happens when the bug occurs? I can not change the filters in CAS for piercings anymore, if I open the filters on say "partywear" it doesn't even show the outfit categories, it shows everything else (color, gender etc.) but not those.
What do you expect to see? To be able to change all the filters for all items in all categories again.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? On console - never used.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Yes
Please describe the patch or change you made. I noticed this after installing Discover University

Not sure if this is a bug or a technical issue, sorry if I posted in the wrong section.

  • @ra7orrat @LyriqRLyfe  You can clear the filters when you have the category selected by pressing the X (Square on PS4) to bring up the filters then press Y (Triangle on PS4) to clear them all.

What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? All of them except Realm of Magic and Moschino Stuff; glitch specifically refers to Discover University.
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? I cannot get rid of the outfit category tag for specifically piercings in Create-A-Sim. The outfit category tag will not show up in the filters under the piercings section.

What do you expect to see? When I open the Create-A-Sim filters under piercings, I expect to be able to edit the outfit category tag. If not, I at least expect to see the Discover University piercings under more than just the everyday wear category.

    • On v1.22 of the Sims 4 for Xbox One, there is no way to edit the outfit category under the piercings section, making me unable to use facial piercings in any outfit category except everyday. It should be possible to untag things like “Formal Wear” from the outfit category in Create-A-Sim filters, but the outfit category option does not appear, specifically when deciding on piercings.
  • This is also on PS4. In the CAS, the earrings and the rings do not have the outfit category in the filter section. It is consistently missing across all outfits.

So if a sim is wearing these items in an outfit that doesn't typically allow them, like sleep. They can not be removed or added because the filter won't allow you to select any outfit category for them for the items to appear unless you clear all the filters out completely.

Edit: You can clear the filters when you have the category selected by pressing the X (Square on PS4) to bring up the filters then press Y (Triangle on PS4) to clear them all.

  • @crinrict : Okay. Since I use mods/CC, I'll have to test without them before making a topic. I may do that later today.

I had the same issue on my ps4 and what I did on accident is when you are using other outfit categories other than everyday wear, open the filter menu and press triangle (I think it would be Y for Xbox) and it should clear all locked filters for that outfit category and give you all given piercings. You can also use this method for clothing that you cannot find that's only on everyday wear. (Warning though, I noticed when doing this it will clear all filters so if you are making/editing a male/female sim and you clear it, it will give you both the male and female styles.)
