ΜØŦĦ€Ř Đ€ΔŘ is a sims story in which the motherplant isn’t a captive in crater lab, but a crime boss residing in her own fortified lair. To achieve this end, I transplanted the Strangerville mystery ...
Roan: “Captain Sonderan! You want to listen to me.”
Hank: “I want to… Oh, pollination, stuff those party-tricks! I REALLY want to listen to you. Stepping into the open was such a mistake, “assassin”. Your first and last, so feel free to chatter away.”
Hank: “An innocent child… when you must have been not much older than a child yourself. You hybrid!”
Roan involuntarily chuckles. Captain Sonderan’s choice of an insult betrays that he has spent a lot of time on Tanglewood, with its large Allium dirus population and the far less numerous, but incredibly cunning motherplants.
Hank: “Oh, come, what do you take me for? I don’t do Jedi-mumbo-jumbo.”
Roan lets out a deep sigh. Once the Jedi Knights had been renowned as the guardians of peace in the galaxy, but then they had fallen at the same time as the equally weak Republic. Now there are the Knights of Ren instead, adepts who don't shy away from using the Force to the fullest of their capacity. The Jedi had been fools, but they had been real. For all his disdain for them, it irks Roan that people dismiss the tales of the Jedi Order as embellished at best and comforting fairy tales at worst.
Hank Sonderan isn't such a denier, that much Roan knows. But his father apparently doesn't think the world of the Force.
Roan: “There. Do you see now? I was born Cole Sonderan, your son, who became Roan Ren. Stronger. More in tune with the force, now that I’m no longer held back by your narrow-minded idealism. I strive, where Cole could not. I suppose Admiral Fowler DID tell you the truth… from a certain point of view. I “killed” that silly, weak boy.”
Hank: “Oh my god… you ARE Cole… You were not ever to come into those powers! We wanted to protect you from those stirrings. Force-sensitive kids were in danger, so we decided to hide you from the First Order… never realizing we also took you away from yourself. What have I done… to you…”
Hank: “You could have said something earlier! Could have joined me and together we’d have set this galaxy right as father and son! But here you little brat are, all edgy with your oh-so scary Force powers, leaving me to run with pirates and to talk to pretty potted flowers. Grow up, Cole!”
Roan: “That not quite how I remember you… but you know what? I’ll take it.”
Hank: “Just hold still! I have to make up for two decades of missed parenting!”
