If I could allow myself to dream, next year would look something like below. Obviously none of this is likely, but I would love it if some of it came true. Two stuff packs, two GP, one refresh and one EP and a lot of improvements and updates. That would be a good year for me.
January: A major free fitness overhaul to honor all those new years resolutions out there containing:
- A new exercise bike - one normal, one instructor, for spinning classes. (base game)
- An update to the Yoga mat so that it could also function as an aerobics or gymnastic mat. (Spa-day only)
- A new base game freelance career: PT/Instructor. Where you could set up classes at gyms rec-centres, parks, beaches or even at home to make money. You could instruct in general exercises, or specialise in spinning or yoga as you want.
- A new semi-active career for seasons: Figure skater.
- The other fitness careers are all made semi-active too.
- Some new aspirations connected to the new jobs.
- Updates venues (gym, spa, pool) with fewer required items and more recommended items.
- A ticket desk/counter for any communal lot, and once it was in place sims would have to pay to get in. Perfect for spas or gyms, for instance.
A fitness style kit and gym decor kit can match the theme of the month.
February: Romance month, valentines day. The free update with a love theme:
- The heart shape bed (vibrations and all)
- The bear rug with picnic, make out and whoohoo options.
- People able to talk, read, make out, hold hands while relaxing in bed (and talk while relaxing or sunbathing anywhere else).
- Neighborhood stories expanded to apply to dating, moving in together and getting married.
The medieval build kit is released.
March:First GP of the year:
Fairies (possibly dragons as well). Very medieval Ireland/Scotland in style with the new wood swatches for many objects.
April:A free update connected to spring:
- Rain clothes now protect against rain and have their own category as does snow wear.
- Coat racks are updated with the option to remove or put on outdoor clothing.
- A few new pretty spring flowers for the garden (daffodils, a lilac bush)
- Get to work owners get flower shop items.
Kits: Goth kit.
May:Stuff pack of the year: Water park items. Pool slides, one small for home use, then a modular one for water park use, a trampoline, a few new jumping towers, and toys for kids to play with in the water.
Base game update: curved walls for pools.
June: An outdoor retreat refresh:
- A buildable tent (group activity, can be fun or cause arguments, can fail or succeed, connected to traits and handiness skill)
- Pool decor that makes it easier to create something that looks like a lake
- A jumping tower that looks just like big boulders.
- A way to clean dogs and cats without a tub (a bottle of water or hose)
- Making the cooler functional.
- Making the picknick basket work like the one in cottage living.
- A picnic blanket that makes it possible for sims to sit on the ground and eat together.
- More games for kids.
- A climbable tree that kids can climb in and parents (if you have parenthood) either encourage or discipline kids for using.
- Social bunny posts connected to camping
- Loss of internet and resulting panic in teens.
- Sleeping bags
July: First EP of the year: Hotel/vacation pack:
- New world based on India, with one city area, one mountainous countryside area and one hotel resort beach area.
- All items fit with the style we get in city living and/or courtyard oasis kit
- New careers connected to running, owning or working at a hotel.
- New semi-active career as tourist guide.
- New aspirations connected to running a hotel, or being on holiday
- New traits connected to travelling
- New venue types: Hotel, b&b (for any world)
- B&Bs can be run from your home.
- Hairstylists chair that is fully functional in hotels, spas and retail stores, but that can also be used from home or put anywhere and used to make money.
- New options for buffet tables, breakfast, lunch and dinner separate, more food options, automatically filled in hotels and lounges.
- Host stations, waiter station, espresso bars, dj booths, normal bars all fully functional in hotel settings.
- Entertainers automatically show up in hotels if music instruments are there.
- Some new beach interactions like surfing or windsurfing
- New harvestable: tea
- New climbable mountain site
- Kite flying (and building)
- New holiday traditions if you have seasons (throw paint, build kite, fly kite)
- Cross pack combability: archaeological collectables if you have jungle explorer.
August/September:A few free updates, nothing major after an intensive summer.
Kits: An art deco kit. A twenties CAS kit. A back to school kit with more kids clothes.
October: Free update to ghosts:
- New lot trait: graveyard
- Change in ghosts needs (no eating, sleeping or bladder need), but more supernatural needs instead
- Ghosts are playable and creatable in cas
- Ghosts can be limited to haunted houses or graveyards, or allowed to roam free
- Funeral event
- New milestones (Growing together): Lost a parent, lost a grandparent, lost a child, lost a sibling, lost a loved one, lost a significant other.
Kits: An Edwardian CAS kit.
November: Second GP: Bands
- More instruments
- Possibility of creating a band, rehearsing, booking gigs, getting a record contract...
- Cross pack combability with get famous (fame) and city living (critics)
- Can be aired on TV positively or negatively
- Can perform concerts at lounges or bars
Connect this to a night life free update:
- Update bars, lounges and nightclubs to require fewer objects (move objects to a recommended list)
- Make it possible to own and run bars/nightclubs/lounges if you own get to work
- Make it possible to set dress code, age groups and uniforms to employees
- Automatic entertainers to loungers and bars
- base game dance floor and make a dance floor mandatory in a night club
- A new like/dislike: drinking juice or nectar (those who hates it will not order it voluntarily and is not likely to show up in bars)
- Less elders at lounges and night clubs.
- If no dress code, party wear should be normal in a nightclub
- Horse ranch: make nectar buyable in build/buy, online, in restaurants and in the grocery stall from cottage living.
Kits: Disco build/buy kit (discoball, modular dancefloor, dance cages...); Night life CAS kit filled with club-wear.
December:Second stuff pack: Snow day:
- Build a snow fort alone or in a group (after construction you can play in it or use if for shelter in a snow fight)
- Build snow lanterns that can then be lit up
- Make ice lanterns that can be lit and used as lights
- Winter wear for kids and toddlers
- A placeable sledding slope for kids and toddlers to go sledding
- Ability to go skating on a frozen lake (new death: thin ice)
Kit: Fancy winter wear. Dressy coats, scarves and hats for adults (male and female).
