Proof of Devotion
The next day, Misty was hesitant to leave Wrench but the nausea was getting worse. A visit to the doctor brought with it big news. Misty was pregnant. Ivan took the news well. Their roommate congratulated Misty, but she could tell he was bothered. He snapped at her and then it was followed up with another party.
Misty tried to let it go and concentrated on Wrench. One day as she talking to Ivan about plans for their new baby, the pair decided they wanted to finally get married. Though they wanted to have a wedding eventually, they decided that for now they would elope and have a wedding when they renewed their vows. Excitedly, they eloped.
Though they had left what happened between them in the past, Ivan wanted to prove his devotion to Misty and so took her last name as a show of his commitment to her. Misty was touched and they both started their new marriage with a clean slate filled with love.
Goodbye Roomie, Hello Ellery
Their roommate took the marriage well. Or as to be expected. With another new party and then another and another. Luckily their roommate was respectful enough not to disturb them from their sleep, but it was still awkward waking up in the morning to find strangers in your kitchen.
Misty didn't want to sound like a jerk so she kept her mouth shut and focused on enhancing Wrench. Wrench grew quickly and easily became a vital member of the family. Unfortunately, he couldn't come with them when Misty went into labor, but he cheerfully waved at them as Ivan rushed Misty to the hospital.
Amongst a less than stellar doctor and a panic husband, Ellery Washburn was born. Happily, they brought their baby home. Unfortunately, that night, their roomie had yet another party and it was decided that was it. Surprisingly, it was Wrench that told their roommate it was time for him to leave. Wrench was already fiercely protective of their little one.
The roommate left and they continued on with their lives.
