A different way to give toddlers a meal/drink other than high chairs

While I think it's cool how we can just drag leftovers from the fridge onto a surface for our toddlers to grab it or give them food from an adult's inventory, I think it'd be a great addition to make it to where we can give toddlers a quick meal or get a serving (from leftovers) directly from the fridge without having to use the high chair. Same with the drinks. Toddlers don't necessarily need a high chair to drink from a sippy cup, but the only way to give a toddler a drink is through the high chair alone (and when you do this, your sim automatically wants to put the toddler into the high chair, in which you gotta cancel).

Sometimes I don't feel like going through the hassle of using the high chair in order to give my toddlers food/drinks or solely rely on dragging food out for the toddlers to pick up servings themselves.

I believe it'd be realistic to provide this additional option.

To explain, I'll provide a scenario.
Toddler: *is hungry/thirsty*
Parent: *goes to the fridge to get a drink/food for toddler and then has the option of either giving it to the toddler directly or giving it to the toddler through the high chair & chooses to give things to toddler directly because laziness*
Toddler: *takes food and drink, wanders off to wherever, and begins eating/drinking by themselves*

Hope I made sense! Would love for this to be implemented.

  • Just delete the highchair? :P
You can choose to open the fridge and grab the left overs and place it back on the counter?
When my sim grabs a serving for the toddler from a plate the toddler will usually sit on the lounge and eat it
  • I've found that if one sims makes a meal and it's still on the side, the toddler sim can walk up to it and take a serving (on their own - no control from me) and then go sit somewhere and eat it - I think you may be able to do it from controlling them too, interact and grab a serving but I'm not 100%
