As long as there are no more so-called "Rabbit Holes", i may probably not even notice anyway. The Sims games were not exactly designed in a way to take full advantage of a Open-world environment to begin with, so having these large open maps in TS3 may have been the reason that such a large portion of the environments interior lacked rendering.
It's also not a good idea to assume that just because technology may have advanced to a certain point, does not necessarily mean that "everything is possible" Regardless of what Maxis may want to see in their games, they still have to stay within their "playable game size-budget" (whatever that may be.)
