Okay, I'm looking at your build in a room by myself, totally talking out loud in an excited tone, to myself, like a crazy person! (I'm like "Oh my God I can't believe this!") Haha. The first thing I saw was the Christmas section. Wow! It is the cutest thing ever, both the idea and how you arranged it. What an unexpected and awesome surprise. The next thing I saw was the towel/blanket section. It's so realistic the way it's layed out - I love this! I also love the section with the shirts and the different level shelving and the sale signs. I've used these shelves/tables and the signs before, but I'm never really sure how best to arrange them, so it always looks a little lame when I do it. This looks fantastic! The rope for the lines looks spot on, too! (Also something I've used, but not as well as you did.)
Unfortunately, I don't have the clothing racks behind the curved counter (LOVE that curved counter), and the game replaced them with tall dressers. Also, some of the mannequins are naked because I don't have the right clothes, including the 2 adults in the middle section. Can you tell me which pack these are from, and I will go download it.
The curtains in the dressing room area are such a nice touch. It's always hard to figure out how to lay out little things like that which aren't really a focal point, and I think your layout is brilliant. I also absolutely love the access to the employee dining room and how it is only via staircase from the kitchen, which will make it easy to close off both of those areas to the general public. The rundown cabinetry and mismatched chairs are SO PERFECT.
I was not expecting a lighting section, and when I saw it, I had another big, out-loud reaction, haha! It is so realistic, and I love that my sims can come here and buy household things like lights, pictures, and furniture now, just like they would have done at a real Woolworths/Simworths. And the lunch counter is an AMAZING reproduction. I mean - wow! It is spot on. And I like how you included the old-fashioned camera on the shelves. (It must have taken you SO LONG to stock all those shelves!!)
I was blown away again when I realized there was also a basement--didn't realize that at first. Love the pipes on the wall and the basement-y feel of this room. I love those pictures stacked at the back of the room and the spaciousness to allow for adequate furniture to be stocked. The manager's office is great, and the windows in the office are great! (Is the clown picture making a statement about managers, I wonder? Haha.)
I'm not sure what is directly in front of the manager's office and to the side of the living room chairs. This also got replaced in my game, so if you can tell me what this is and where it's from, that would be great (sorry to cause you extra work).
I really appreciate all the detail and thought you put into this, like using the nice doors for the main floor and the more rundown doors in the basement, the fusebox, the graffiti--things like that. I will get a lot of use out of this, so thank you so very much! I am a total fan!
I will come back later and post the pictures and details regarding those other two builds. I'm so excited that you want to do them!
