Laundromat--okay there are tons of old laundromat photos! Yippee! Wish list - place to sit and wait for laundry to be done, magazine rack so they can read while they're waiting, rows of washers and dryers, table where they can conceivably stand and fold their laundry, shelf for laundry detergent. Optional: cold drinks. Also a restroom. They will probably need hampers in there somewhere to make it functional even though there wouldn't have been hampers in actual laundromats, so maybe these can be hidden a little bit to preserve the realism.
I think that covers everything. Machines were coin operated, so there does not need to be a counter or employee on the lot. There would not have been irons or ironing boards--that would have been done at home.
