Requesting Tables at Restaurants

I play sims on the P5 mostly and ever since the new update; I can’t request tables at any restaurant I have put into my world. I can travel to them and sit at the bar if there is one but to request a table; it just takes the 50 simoleons but doesn’t have me wait to be seated or anything. Because of that; I can’t get any where pass the bronze rewards when I go on dates.
