Lyla and Darryl got married and had a son named Robert. Lyla is now an Elder. She has reached level 10 in the Baking skill, making her a master of all the cooking skills. Darryl is an Adult with 13 days until he ages up. He has reached level 8 of the Secret Agent career and chose the Diamond Agent branch at his last promotion, which makes him a Spy Captain. He has reached level 10 in both the skills needed for that branch, Logic and Charisma. I expect him to complete the career without any difficulty. I've been using the Take Risks work option instead of Work Hard and getting good results from it.
Anna and Zach are now Young Adults with 6 days until they age up. Anna and Zach both finished high school with A's and they both got the Cheerful trait when they became Young Adults. Anna is also in the Secret Agent career and I plan for her to become a Villain. She is currently a Lead Detective (level 5) with Charisma skill 6, Logic 9, and Mischief 5. She'll need one more skill point in Logic and Mischief to reach the top of the Villain branch. Zach is a Solid Storyteller (Entertainer/Comedian level 6). He has Comedy level 9 and Charisma level 5. He'll need to reach level 10 in Comedy and level 8 in Charisma to reach the top of the Comedian branch.
Robert is already a Teen although he just grew up (12 days remaining). He got the Social Butterfly aspiration and Art Lover trait when he became a Child. He got the Soulmate aspiration and Active trait as a Teen. He completed his childhood aspiration easily, earned an A in elementary school, and reached level 10 in the Charisma skill. I'm planning for him to become an Investor in the Business career, so I concentrated on that skill instead of the other Child skills. Now that he's a Teen, I'll be concentrating on his Logic skill and hope to reach level 10 before he grows up again.
I've been spending a lot of time learning Charisma skill for these Sims and I've discovered that most Friendly interactions do not build the Charisma skill. By keeping a close eye on the percentage shown on the skill bar, I've determined that Brighten Day, Compliment Outfit, Express Admiration, Flatter, Get to Know, Heartfelt Compliment, and Hug build the skill. There might be a few others on the Friendly menu, such as Express Love and Kiss Cheek, but I've only noticed those two recently and haven't been able to test them yet. You can also build Charisma skill with some of the Romantic interactions but I haven't tested those at all. That might help you if you're trying to learn the Charisma skill without books or mirrors, the way I've had to.
