I created an Alien Based Legacy Challenge
Sul Sul fellow Simmers, I created an alien based legacy challenge for my sister's stream and she thought I should publish it. It's called the Assimilate Legacy Challenge. It's a quick challenge with only 5 generations. This is my first time creating a challenge. I would love to get some feedback. I really enjoyed working on this one and might make another one at a later date. My sister's channel: ribbitingkitten - Twitch This is the challenge's google doc: ASSIMILATE LEGACY CHALLENGE ASSIMILATE LEGACY CHALLENGE Overview: This is an alien challenge for the Sims 4. The overall goal is to ‘assimilate’ your alien sim into the main sim world as if they were from Sixam. The population of Sixam is dying and the government has opened a volunteer program to see if living in the world of Maxis is a viable way to say your species. I don't know what the actual world the sims live in is called so I just used Maxis since the alien world is Maxis backwards. This is a 5 generation legacy challenge, that I have created with and for my sister ribbitingkitten on Twitch based off of her current legacy sim. Please forgive me for my lack of art and formatting. I live in a semi-truck and have very little time to add the pretty effects. If you want to add more generations my suggestion is to alternate the ones I have written with the more nature based packs. General Rules You will need to have at least 1 Alien Child to become your successor. If your alien is discovered you must add a lot challenge and it cannot be removed until one of your children has maxed a skill or receives an A in high school. The challenges added for being discovered are accumulative and follow your heir to their house. Only one challenge may be removed per child. First Generation Bio: With the population waning on Sixam. Their government decided to open a volunteer program for citizens to travel to the Sim world of Maxis and gather information about how well they can assimilate into the Sims way of life. Your founder is one of the volunteers for this program. The Mission: Hello Founder, You are selected to go on the first mission of assimilation. You are assigned to live in a place called San Myshuno, as this is a long term mission we strongly advise you start a family. We require that you collect samples of the immediate culture. And remember do not expose your true nature. Sixam Volunteer Program Tasks: - Career open for your choosing. - Marry a sim with horrible compatibility. You are new to Maxis and do not understand everything about the local sims population. - Complete the Snow Globe and Posters collection - Max the Singing skill and the Dance Skill - Complete the City Native Aspiration - Get Divorced after child Traits: - Dance Machine - Love Bug - Outgoing This generation is based on the sim Neila Volt that my sister made. Neila was already in existence while I was writing this challenge for ribbitingkitten. She already had a really fun story going for her sim and was looking for a way to spice up her gameplay and it inspired me. Second Generation The Mission: Hello Successor, Your progenitor volunteered for the mission of assimilation. You are to move to a new location and study that location. We would like to see how large the family unit can become. We also require that you look into this Salvadorada and acquire samples for further testing. As this is a long term mission we strongly advise you start a family. We require that you collect samples of the immediate culture. And remember do not expose your true nature. Sixam Volunteer Program Tasks: - Career Education Career in the Professor Branch - Complete the Omiscan Artifacts/Treasures and Fossils collection - Max the Parenting Skill and *Both* of the Jungle Adventure Skills - Complete the Big Happy Family Aspiration - Have 4-5 kids or Max the household for additional challenge Traits: - Family Oriented - Bookworm - Romantically Reserved My thoughts with this generation were that this heir has witnessed their family break at a young age, and is now more reserved about affection but also really wants a large family. Third Generation The Mission: Hello Successor, Your progenitor volunteered for the mission of assimilation. You are to move to a new location and study that location. We require that you study what the locals call an Ocean. As this is a long term mission we strongly advise you start a family. We require that you collect samples of the immediate culture. And remember do not expose your true nature. Sixam Volunteer Program Tasks: - Become a freelancer and make videos of your beach life - Complete the Seashells and Buried Treasure collection - Max the Fitness Skill, Guitar and Fishing Skills - Complete the Beach Live Aspiration - Stay in Shape for that Beach Bod - Become Famous Traits: - Self Absorbed - Lazy - High Maintenance With this generation, I thought maybe they couldn’t stand how hard their parents were working and requiring them to work and study hard as well. So upon being a young adult they set out on their own, wanting to relax and got a little carried away with the relaxing part becoming lazy. Fourth Generation The Mission: Hello Successor, Your progenitor volunteered for the mission of assimilation. You are to move to a new location and study that location, as this is a long term mission we strongly advise you start a family. We require that you collect samples of the immediate culture. And remember do not expose your true nature. Sixam Volunteer Program Tasks: - Become a Detective - Complete the Simmies and the MySims Trophy collection - Max the Rock Climbing Skill, Flower Arranging and Pottery Skills - Complete the Extreme Sports Enthusiast Aspiration - Earn the Spicy Hound Trait Traits: - Adventurous - Vegetarian - Snob This heir grew up longing for structure, and ends up joining the detective career to fulfill that need. They still take the time to enjoy life. Fifth Generation The Mission: Hello Successor, Your progenitor volunteered for the mission of assimilation. You are to move to a new location and study that location, as this is a long term mission we strongly advise you start a family. We require that you collect samples of the immediate culture. Once you complete the following tasks bring all of the samples collected to Sixam. And remember do not expose your true nature. Sixam Volunteer Program Tasks: - Run a 5 Star Shady Small Business - Max the Shady Alignment - Complete the Trashley Certified Art and Steal All the Collections from your predecessors - Max the Mischief Skill, Guitar and Fishing Skills - Complete the Sticky Fingers Aspiration - Get to Sixam Traits: - Kleptomaniac - Shady - Clumsy This generation is rebellious against their parents' strict discipline. Swing the pendulum so far to the other side they have started to partake in criminal activities.10Views0likes0Comments👽 Miller Legacy 🛸
Sul sul fellow simmers! The Miller Legacy is my first Legacy Challenge and the way I found to explore the (for me) new The Sims 4 game in the moment I decided to buy it. It's the translation of what I originally posted in Italian here, and the new chapters are being posted on my blog here. I'd also like to point out that this legacy is currently being shared also on the parallel Sim Creative forum. This small forum has practically the same template as the old one and is not buggy, making it a very cozy place where to share the old conversations we used to have in the former Creative corner. I suggest you to give it a look! ;) Back to the introduction, with this legacy I'm basically novelizing what happens when I'm playing my game, introducing as many mysteries and issues to overcome for my sims as I can. For sure, the Miller's are not a family like the others. I'm not a fan of too strict gaming rules, thus my main rule is just: "reach generation 10 without cheating". This legacy is definitively more story-driven than rules-driven. So I'm not taking track of points in any way, often instead of choosing traits or careers randomly I choose what I think would be funnier for me to play or better for the story progression, I often move the family to new houses (not built by me because I'm a horrible builder) and so forth. In particular, I'm taking a lot of freedom about a certain cat, but also in that case I found a way for doing it without technically being cheating. As for the heir, I don't follow a strict rule but just choose the one for which I can imagine the best character development and who can give more in terms of story progression. The only rule I'm following in that sense is that I want every heir to be the biological child of the previous heir, because I'm curious to see how the genetics algorithm in TS4 work over a 10 generations span (consider this as a small experiment :P ). The full story index (beware, it's long!) can be found HERE. I'm closing this premise here because I don't want to spoil the story, so I wish you a pleasant reading through the most mysterious sides of this game ;)12KViews4likes770CommentsNomad Challenge - Requires Outdoor Retreat
Hello Simmers! This is my first attempt at creating a Sims 4 Challenge, but I hope some of you guys are interested in trying it out. The general idea of the challenge is to live only off of the land's resources and build the legacy of your dreams, complete with a museum to display all of your collections. To begin: Create two young adult sims in CAS with any traits or aspirations that you'd like. They can be siblings, husband and wife, roommates, etc. Avoid choosing any aspirations that will require jobs down the line. None of the sims in your household will ever have a traditional career. Buy one of the lots in either neighborhood that is empty and costs 5,500 simoleons (either Hallow Slough or Arid Ridge). Purchase one outdoor trashcan. Turn on testing cheats and reduce your family funds to 0. Set lifespan to Normal. Now that you are completely set up, here are your goals: 1. Have a garden full of perfect plants. You need to have at least one of each different type. You must begin the garden with your founders and continue it throughout the entire challenge. The plants can never be put into your household inventory - even when they reach "perfect" quality. 2. Complete the following collections: Frogs Gardening (obviously) Trophies Metals Crystals Elements Fossils Fish Insects 3. Create a museum (completely separate space on your lot to display one of each item from your collections). 4. Build a home that is worth 350,000 simoleons. Now let's make it a bit more difficult. Here are the rules: 1. Until you have completed your first collection, you may only purchase items that are portable. For example - tents, air mattresses, folding tables or chairs, guitars, campfires, etc. The only exception to this rule is your original purchase of an outside trashcan. You also cannot purchase ANY items in build mode, including walls. Note: Although completing your first collection is what unlocks the ability to build and purchase non-portable items, you are not required to build anything until you want to. If you prefer to go the entire legacy without a "true" home, you can! In fact, it's encouraged as a completely new way of living and (in my opinion) quite fun! As long as a home with a worth of 350,000 simoleons is built in the end, you are okay. 2. You can only eat items that you have caught (fish or insects) or items you have harvested (fruits, veggies, and the things that can be cooked from the fresh ingredients you have in your inventory). No cooler or refrigerator quick meals are allowed. You CAN, however, eat food that other sims have left on picnic tables - if needed. You cannot go into other sims homes and eat their food. 3. Because the main goal of this challenge is to finish collections, you cannot sell the first item you pick up of each unique type. For example, if your sim catches 3 minnows and 1 perch, they are only allowed to sell 2 minnows. They must keep 1 minnow and 1 perch in their inventory. The same goes for all other collection types. 4. You can move to a different lot (50x50, for example) at any point, but keep in mind that you must place your garden into the household inventory before moving, and place it on the new lot as soon as you move. You do not have to build your home, but you certainly can if you'd like. 5. Your lot must include a separate space, your museum, that will display one of each unique item from the required collections. You can build your museum at the very end of the challenge or you can start right away, whichever is better for you. I personally like to keep my collection items in one sim's inventory to see if I have any duplicates that I can sell. Once I've completed one collection, I usually put those items in the museum. How you play is completely up to you. 6. You cannot buy any seed packets. All plants must be harvested or grafted. EDIT - It seems that a few of the gardening items may only be found in the seed packets. For this reason, I am changing the rule slightly. After you have 25 unique plants growing in your garden, you may purchase seed packets to find spinach and any other items that are only available this way. 7. You can use local facilities for toilets, showers, etc. if needed, but you cannot use a neighbor's home. No sleeping in random neighbors beds -- even if they are a romantic interest. 8. You may have as many sims in your household as you'd like, as long as they are blood related (after the first generation) or adopted children. 9. You may move sims out of the household, but they cannot come back once they are gone. 10. You may move sims into your household, but they cannot bring any money with them. Like Pinstar's legacy challenge, you must make sure the sims you are moving in are in a household with another sim, or change your funds to remove whatever amount they bring in. 11. None of the sims in the household can have a career. If a sim moves in and already has a career, you must make them quit. Everyone in the house should be focused on building their museum, selling collectables, crafting items, or tending to the farm. If you want a more difficult challenge, start with only one founder instead of two. There is no true way to score this challenge, so it's just for fun. If you can think of a way, let me know. Also, post below if you decide to try it, and link your story if you create one. I'd love to check it out!44KViews2likes75CommentsNewbie's Populating Newcrest Challenge
I’ve noticed a lot of players taking on legacy challenges in Newcrest, and while I initially had a similar idea, my story had evolved into something different. It started as a rags-to-riches challenge featuring a teenage sim named Phoebe Newcrest, who was "kicked out" of an orphanage when she turned 18... Now, I’m more of an Architect Simmer - focused on building and architecture in The Sims, and it has led me to drift away from family gameplay. To make gameplay more engaging, I've decided to embark on a 100 Baby Challenge to help populate Newcrest. Now, this next bit is going to seem a little sidetracked, but there is a point, I promise. I’ve always been a fan of "The Sims: Bustin' Out," and honestly, I wish EA would create a new version with more challenges that utilize the features of The Sims 4.... but that's a whole other can of worms so anyway to get back on topic; I thought it would be fun to have a 100 Baby Challenge where the children can grow up and start their own businesses, contributing to the growth of the town. The name "Newcrest" inspired me, and I remembered that in "Bustin' Out," the default last name was "Newbie," which I haven’t seen much of lately. So, I’m excited to reestablish the Newbie name and bring the Newbie's back into the spotlight! The Newbie's are here to establish NEWCREST! So, without further ado, let me introduce you all to Phoebe Newbie, our founding matriarch! (Modeled after my lovely self 😉) I have a YouTube channel, but I'm not sure if I'll upload anything yet. I'll keep you guys updated if I do, in case you want to see gameplay footage. As for the rules, I'm playing this on a normal lifespan. The only cheat I'll be using is bb.moveobjects. My goal is to try and have 100 babies in as few generations as possible, and the next matriarch or patriarch will be the favorite child of the bunch who has good sentiments with Phoebe.44Views0likes0CommentsCompetition Reality TV Sims 4 Gameplay Challenge

I wanted to attempt to complete one challenge each month this year. We'll see how that goes. I missed January and got sick during Valentine's week which is when I wanted to start this challenge. Oh well. So, this month of love, I'm doing the challenge of "love??", The Bachelor. I've never played this challenge before. I will use the rules from The Sims Challenges. I will post here and also on my site, Nocturne Mystique (episode list on the link). I have all Eps, Gps, Sps, and got the Grouchy trait plus some CC traits. I will not use any of my CC traits. Every Sim must have one of the three Romance type traits: Romantic, Lovebug, Romantically Reserved. The Bachelor will have Romantic and Lovebug traits. I will decide the Bachelorettes romance trait by spinning a wheel online. (I have a mod that gives me 5 trait slots in CAS. My Bachelorettes will have 3 traits plus a Romance one, but my Bachelor will have 4 +1). While creating the Bachelorettes, I changed my mind about using Unflirty as I don’t want to put anyone at a disadvantage right off the bat. Also, I'll probably put more screenshots on my site's version than on here because I'm not sure what the max storage is here (and I've noticed sometimes the images hosted off-site don't show up). I'll try to keep it as essential as possible without taking away the fun. So, if you crave more screenies they'll be over there. And I'll have links to previous and next episodes at the end of each post plus an episode list below. The longer threads get the harder it is to navigate (at least it is for me) and want to make this as easy as possible. Now onto the show!1.4KViews4likes21CommentsAlphabet SuperLegacy Challenge Rules
Updated for Businesses and Hobbies. This is a legacy challenge where each generation represents a different letter, and must explore all of the game play starting with that letter: aspirations, collections, woohoo spots, reward store traits, you name it. I already have a thread for this challenge that has been updated through Crystal Creations. Since it was transferred from the old forum, it was very hard to update further. Ignore any objective related to a pack you don’t own. You can choose to skip a generation if your pack limitations leave it extremely short on content. I've removed two of the letters (Q, Y) from the challenge because they don't have much to do, even with all the packs. No cheat codes that help you move through your objectives faster. No rules about aging. No rules governing non-heirs. Just because one generation has something as an objective, doesn’t mean that other generations can’t do it for fun/convenience. If you don’t have at least three traits in the assigned letter, you have to randomize the rest. No self-discovery traits starting with a different letter. Each heir's name, and that of any pets they have, must begin with their letter. Likes and Dislikes: The heir can only have the likes/dislikes assigned to their generation. Color preferences are assigned when they age up to Child. From that point forward, all the heir's outfits will reflect their color preferences. If you decorate a space for them, you must consider their color preferences. Fashion and interior design preferences are assigned when they age up to teen (if you have those packs). From that point forward, all their outfits and decorated spaces will reflect their style preferences. Lot Traits and Challenges: The heir must have all of their assigned lot challenges equipped in all of their designated residences. If the heir has three assigned lot traits or less, they also must be assigned. If the heir has four or more lot traits, they have to change up which three are in play. I have created a new Sims 4 Challenge! I would love it if you checked it out. Here is a brief overview/introduction to the challenge: This 10-generation challenge follows the story of a family who is trying to uncover their ancestors’ secrets, through a collection of mystical artefacts. Legend speaks of a powerful artefact, the "Eye of Ra," hidden somewhere in the world. Its purpose and appearance remain a mystery, but whispers suggest it holds the key to something BIG. The founding sim, driven by a recurring dream, embarks on a quest to find this item, leaving behind a legacy that compels future generations to continue the search.
