One Month One World One Year Challenge 2026
Hello and welcome. :) This challenge was started by Karababy52 (see more here) and I would like to continue it on for another year if I can. Hopefully more people can join in. The more the merrier! The premise of this challenge is pretty simple. The goal is to post one in-game screenshot once a day during the 2026 year. So, kind of like a 365 project for your sims. You will start out with a teen sim and pick your starting world. I'll share a list of suggestions, but really you can pick whatever you want. Your sim will be a teen for 3 real world months, then age-up to Young Adult in April. They will spend 4 months as a Young Adult, then age-up to Adult in July. They will spend 4 more months as an Adult, then age-up to Elder in December. Each month your sim will move to a new world to explore. I've taken all the rules and guidelines here and copied them over from Karababy52's 2023 post and edited them slightly. Rules/Guidelines: One screenshot post per real life day in this thread with a short text summary. One world per real life month - See monthly schedule of worlds in spoiler below. Optional: May change schedule of worlds to reflect your preferences. Your challenge Sim MUST be a teen to officially begin this challenge and post in the thread. Exception: If you are starting the challenge late, you may begin in the current month at whatever age the challenge is at, or you may start as a teen to quickly finish your aspiration and school, then fast forward to the current age. (Example - if you start in April you may hurry through the teen stage and age up to YA, or just start as YA). After three real life months have passed, your Sim will age up to young adult for four months, adult for four months and finally, age up to an elder for December. Timeline posted in spoiler below. Optional: How long your Sim stays in each life stage, teen-elder, is at your own discretion. However, they are required to be at minimum a young adult to attend Uni in Britechester. *Note: If you own the High School Years EP, your Sims may be offered early graduation. If they take the offer, your teen is allowed to apply, enroll, and attend university or join full-time adult careers. Begin Rags to Riches style on an empty lot with 0 simoleons. Optional: Use the 20,000 starting simoleons to buy a starter home and furnish it how you want. Aging off. Optional: May use long lifespan. All unplayed residential worlds are off limits for any kind of travel. Exception: Newcrest may be designated a 'neutral' world to place venues for your Sim to use regardless of their current world residence. Optional: Newcrest may be used to replace a pack you don't own instead. Optional: Your sim may travel to other worlds not used in the challenge if they get an invitation. Sims may take a vacation to any of the designated vacations worlds. Rental lots in unplayed residential worlds are off limits. Aspirations released with a world must be fulfilled first. May choose a base game or other pack aspiration not in the challenge to complete afterward. Optional: Only one aspiration released with a world must be completed before choosing base game or other pack aspirations. Willow Creek, Oasis Springs, Newcrest and Magnolia Promenade may be used in substitution for worlds listed in the challenge for packs you may not own. In that event, choose one or two base game or other packs aspirations not in the challenge to complete per world. Your Sim may marry and/or have children. Aging up children is at your own discretion. High School attendance is not required. May use cheats to fulfill daily/promotional task requirements. *Exception: Applicable only if you do not own the High School Years EP or if you do own it, but have elected not to have your Sim live in Copperdale and do the aspirations associated with the EP in your challenge. The beginning of each new month/world starts Rags to Riches style. Optional: Your Sim may keep everything they have accumulated and use their funds to buy or build a new house, or even move their house to their new world. If your challenge Sim dies, it's game over. Optional: You may bring them back to life and continue or use another existing Sim in the household to complete the challenge. Or, keep playing as a ghost! Occult states and Celebrity statuses must be removed when progressing to the next month/world. Optional: May keep acquired lifestates/statuses. *Note: Vampires can't get a suntan, which is a Beach Life aspiration task. If a new world is released with a new pack at any time during 2026, you have the option to swap the new world with another prior released world. Give yourself a break and don't stress over days missed due to internet outages, vacations/holidays, real life work/responsibilities or sickness. Extra story screenshots may be posted, but try to keep it to around 5-10 max. There's no limit for screenshots shared on your blog. May use satisfaction points to buy rewards. Exception: Money tree seeds are disallowed. Lottery tickets are disallowed for purchase. Beginning season, length of days and moon phases are your choice. May turn off or cheat away/change all Eco Lifestyle features applied to worlds. Exception: Must be turned on while living in Evergreen Harbor. May participate in all default Holidays, modify, delete and/or add your own. May include a link to your preferred Blog site with additional story text/screenshots, in addition to your Daily Post Pic/Text Summary. Mod friendly challenge! However, please use discretion when using them. Using a mod to fulfill an aspiration is disallowed. Exception: May be used to correct bugs and/or glitches. Worlds/Packs and Age-Up Timeline: *Note: Feel free to replace any pack you don't own with one of your choosing! Beginning Age: Teen January - Copperdale (Highschool Years) OR Nordhaven (Businesses and Hobbies) if you choose to do Copperdale third (I just feel like starting with it). Order, Galactic Privateer November - Master Maker, Eco Innovator December - Ghost Historian I chose the list of worlds based on my personal preferences and packs I haven't fully explored yet, so feel free to change it however you like. Hi lovely friends! I'm rolling out this quick creativity challenge today April 3, 2020 in an effort to give you more exciting things to do as we all #StayAtHome in the weeks ahead. The main goal of this challenge is to design and upload original creations quickly and on weekends only. The focus of these creativity challenges is to grow your CAS skills since that's the creative section I'm most passionate about in The Sims. However, I may choose to challenge you on rooms and builds too as the challenge continues. The rules and creative direction will be posted here each Friday. Create and upload your entry to the gallery beginning each Friday after the new direction/rules post through 11:00PM MST Monday using the hashtag #GLovelysQCC I love to make Maxis nominations so this challenge will help me find some fantastic things created by you much more easily to share in the nominations threads. It would be very helpful for you to review this link on how Maxis chooses creations to fave before you share your entries. https://forums.thesims.com/en_US/discussion/955438/how-do-we-choose-our-maxis-faves-curation-guide#latest Randomly I will invite a group of talented creators to judge all of the entries during prize rounds. Prizes will consist of The Sims 4 Expansions, Game or Stuff packs as I choose. I will let you know each Friday when I post the creative directions if that weekend will be a judging weekend prize round. In addition, please feel free to share your creations here in the form of screenshots (limit 3), description and gallery links weekend after weekend. I'd love to see this thread filled with your Sims creativity! Also, please share your creations on other platforms too like #Twitter or #Instagram. If you do, please tag me so I can see ;) Thanks for taking the time to read this thread! I'm so excited to roll out these quick creativity challenges each weekend and I'm looking forward to seeing all the fabulous creations you share with me! FIRST WEEKEND KICK-OFF -- PRIZE ROUND! Creative Direction & Rules: We've all been quarantined at home for various amounts of time now. For this first QCC please create one original family household that resembles your own family household. You can make simselves but that is not a requirement. You may include pets if you have them in your home. In your description please briefly describe your family and share with us what your family is doing to pass the time as we stay home. Do you craft? Write? Game? Read? Bake? Have you reorganized your home? Please share tips and optimism in your description. Be sure to include the hashtag #GLovelysQCC in your description before you upload to the gallery. Design every outfit category for every sim in the household Give at least 1 family member the "family oriented" trait Write your creation description according to the above guide NoCC and no defaults (defaults replace the original Maxis skin/eyes but are not officially tagged as CC) Only Maxis poses Reuploaded/Copied creations will be disqualified Have a blast creating for us! This is a prize round so the winner will be chosen by a panel of active gallery sim creators. Winner will receive their choice of either the City Living EP OR the Get Together EP game code redeemable on Origin for PC. (If you have these EP's already and you win you may choose an alternate.) Stay safe at home and happy simming always lovelies! 💜54KViews5likes1756CommentsCreek Tales - A Pack Legacy Challenge (updated 03/30)
When Maxis introduced the option of turning packs off and on in game, I was wildly tempted to create a Pack Legacy Challenge for the game. Of course, someone else already did, but as usual, I'm all about creating my own rules based on my own playing style and play badly when others dictate my game, which of course means I'll make the rules up as I go, still there are a few basics. Basic guidelines I intend follow: I will start with an entirely base game family, the Creek-family (introduced below). They (including the kids) are generation 1 of this challenge. With every new generation at least one new pack (EP, GP, SP or Kit) will be unlocked. That generation then has to truly explore that pack, meaning jobs, looks, decorations, aspirations, traits, skills even deaths should be explored to the fullest by the sims born in that generation. The exception is seasons, which will be unlocked as the oldest child of gen 1, Willow, ages up to a teen. Which pack that will be unlocked will depend on the first trait given to the first child in the next generation (so a family orientated child will unlock parenthood or growing together, depending on which have been unlocked before). Some traits only unlock kits. In that case the second trait given to a child of that generation will unlock a pack. Some kits will also be unlocked with a specific pack if it feels like a good combination, like country kitchen with cottage living or industrial loft with city living. And some rules (yes, even I have a few rules): All traits are to be given randomly, with the exceptions being that a sim of a new generation MUST take traits of a newly unlocked pack if there are any, randomly if there are several. When every trait of the newly unlocked pack is assigned to a sim in game, randomness for all available traits are allowed. When the first child of the next generation receive their first trait, true randomness applies as that will dictate the next pack to unlock. A new pack is unlocked when the oldest child of a generation ages up to teen. No CC is allowed, a part from the occasional ad-on pack (separations of items already in game, matching chairs to a sofa or more window options). Even add-ons should be kept to a minimum. This is after all about exploring the packs to their fullest. Mods are allowed, but not those that significantly adds gameplay options (such as career-mods, new aspirations, traits or new gameplay). The purpose here is to explore the options of the packs after all. For me, myself, I intend to start out only with BetterBuildBuy and MCCC and try to keep other mods to a minimum (that lasted less than an hour, there are simply too many things I cannot live with in game, but the aim is the same, keep mods to a minimum and no mods that adds gameplay). As for the rest, well that's up in the air still. I plan on starting with aging on normal, but as that is very new to me, I might change that to long instead as I've never managed to live with normal age span before. Either way, adult lifespan will be about twice the usual length for how else are they going to be able to see their kids grow up and have kids of their own? And with that I think it's time to meet our founding family. As with The Whittaker Saga I will write the post in a blog and post the links here. Updated for Royalty & Legacy and the Lost Legacies event. This is a legacy challenge where each generation represents a different letter, and must explore all of the game play starting with that letter: aspirations, collections, woohoo spots, reward store traits, you name it. I already have a thread for this challenge that has been updated through Crystal Creations. Since it was transferred from the old forum, it was very hard to update further. Ignore any objective related to a pack you don’t own. You can choose to skip a generation if your pack limitations leave it extremely short on content. I've removed two of the letters (Q, Y) from the challenge because they don't have much to do, even with all the packs. No cheat codes that help you move through your objectives faster. Advantages from standard game play that might "feel cheaty" subjectively are fine as long as they're not prohibited by one of the following rules. No rules about aging. No rules governing non-heirs. Just because one generation has something as an objective, doesn’t mean that other generations can’t do it for fun/convenience. Personality Traits: If you don’t have at least three traits in the assigned letter, you have to randomize the rest. No self-discovery traits starting with a different letter. Naming: Each heir's name, and that of any pets they have, must begin with their letter. Likes and Dislikes: The heir can only have the likes/dislikes assigned to their generation. Color preferences are assigned when they age up to Child. From that point forward, all the heir's outfits will reflect their color preferences. If you decorate a space for them, you must consider their color preferences. Fashion and interior design preferences are assigned when they age up to teen (if you have those packs). From that point forward, all their outfits and decorated spaces will reflect their style preferences. Lot Traits and Challenges: The heir must have all of their assigned lot challenges equipped in all of their designated residences. If the heir has three assigned lot traits or less, they also must be assigned. If the heir has four or more lot traits, they have to change up which three are in play. Aspiration Rewards: The heir must purchase all of their required rewards from the Reward Store before they can purchase any optional rewards. Consumable rewards (e.g. confident potion) can be purchased earlier, and then used later. Transitional Bonus Trait: The heir's transitional aspiration (the one that decides the bonus trait) has to be an aspiration from their generation, unless they don't one available at that age. Clubs: Some generations have designated clubs they are supposed to join. If the club does not exist in that save during that generation (either it died out or it hasn't been generated yet), ignore that objective. At the start of the challenge, the Gen 1 "founder" will be a toddler, so you will need to give them at least one parent. Sul Sul and Happy Friday to you my fellow Simmers! Today I want to share with you a build that I did that was actually QTSimz first shell challenge. It was shaped as a QT and I was so stumped by what I wanted to do at first. So I pondered it and thought a cafe with a small apartment would be such an awesome challenge to do. Most of my shell challenges are named after the Simmer I am building them for, so I named this one QT's Cafe. Since we were still in the Fall/Halloween season, I did want to theme it to fit the season. So I did a little bit of both by using the Halloween theme in the cafe and I also did a communal area that has a playground, food stalls and pumpkin carving stations. Following is my backstory for the build: QT just bought an old building and decided to open a small cozy cafe. With her small apartment in the back, she enjoys sitting on her front patio and watch all the people having a good time in the park behind the building. I am going to be truly honest when I say that I was so shocked by the amount of downloads this build got. Never in my dreams would I imagine that 238 people could love a build as much as I enjoyed putting it together. I am still wondering how that happened...hahahaha!😂 It definitely was a sweet surprise!😁 Do you guys have any builds that you are shocked got so many downloads? Attached are some photos of the build and if you are interested in downloading it, my gallery ID is Froggy2747. Enjoy and Happy Simming!124Views5likes5CommentsMaasVerse Challenge
Hi everyone!! I created a MaasVerse Challenge for all of us who want to combine the world of the Sims and the MaasVerse! Hope you try it and enjoy!! :)) MaasVerse Legacy Challenge: The Chronicle of Stars and Ashes *All packs* Base Rules: Long Lifespan enabled. No Money Cheats (except for Generation 1, if necessary, for the initial lot or if specified by the challenge). The Lineage Vault: Each heir must keep a unique object representing their generation in a storage box (the "Tomb"). Succession: The heir is always the first child to reach the Young Adult stage, unless the story specifies otherwise. ________________________________________________________________________ Generation 1: Aelin Galathynius (The Assassin of Adarlan) Aelin starts as a Young Adult who has lost everything. She is arrogant, brilliant, and deadly. She lives on an empty lot in Oasis Springs (simulating the deserts of Erilea), hiding her true identity. Traits: Ambitious, Loyal, Self-Assured. Aspiration: Friend of the World. Challenge: Must reach Level 10 of the Criminal Career (Boss Branch). Must have the following skills: Charisma, Piano, and Medium; and maximize the skills: Fitness, Logic, Swordplay, and Archery. Must travel to Selvadorada (Jungle Adventure) and find an ancient relic (simulating the Eye of Elena). Must obtain the Simcalibur sword. The Trauma: Aelin is "exiled" (moves worlds) three times during her life. Succession: She must have an heir with a Sim who has the Loyal trait. She must have a very close relationship with her child. When the heir becomes a Young Adult, Aelin must "disappear" to rule her kingdom (move her to another household and do not contact her), leaving only her diary, her sword, and the Selvadorada relic. _________________________________________________________________________ Generation 2: Rhysand (The High Lord of Night) Rhysand inherited his mother’s cunning and the need to protect what remains of his family. The Legacy: She leaves a high-end computer and a rare cut crystal for the heir. _________________________________________________________________________ Generation 4: Manon Blackbeak (The Iron Heir) Bryce’s daughter, Manon, grew up hating her mother’s "frivolity." Disclaimer: I never have created a challenge before, beyond just loosely giving myself challenges/goals. I feel there aren't enough occult based challenges or non-generational challenges. Occult abilities can basically make the game easier, so having a challenge to include occults to balance out difficulty is the premise. This is based on my playstyle with the perks, challenges, and goals I tend to have in mind. This challenge, however, is more strict than I usually play, so I haven't play tested it yet. Link to Google doc. Sim types for this challenge: +The Apothecary Enchanter Collector +The Eccentric Scientist +The Healer of Body and Heart +The Mischievous Manipulator +The Scavenger +The Simple and Natural Lifestyle +The Strange and Unusual +The Survivalist +The Traveling Virtuoso Each Sim type is a different way to survive (with or without magic/enchanted help). Most of the types are encouraged selections, but can be customized to preference, and packs. As long as their Challenges/Goals are followed. You can have as many types as you want without duplicates. Edit: Updated and Tweaks added as of March 19, 2026. So I have done some play testing on (haven't been 100% to the challenge, but trying to keep to the challenge is rewarding enough, and some things were situational or ruined by autonomy anyways). I am enjoying it, I plan to do a non-playtesting file, and rotationally do each challenge! But in the meantime while testing I learn the limitations, and have been adjusting the google doc with updates (also since R&L came out has some updates, which really fleshed out, and made The Mischievous Manipulator, so much more fun! Dynasties also help with some narrowing skill/ideal based autonomy as well). +The Apothecary Enchanter Collector +The Mischievous Manipulator +The Survivalist If anyone was following the R&L Official Screen shot thread I have some screenshots of The Mischievous Manipulator. his romantic partner is The Apothecary Enchanter Collector. But I'll recap in the post. The Survivalist (I was doing in that same file but in a new save file I decided to play him solo and more in depth with plans of rotationally playing to the other challenges), not as much screenshots as it was originally meant as a test file.202Views2likes4CommentsThe Dead Zone Challenge

Sul sul everyone!, Meet the Kealoha Dynasty of Sulani. The dynasty is currently led by (Knight) Nohea and his wife, (Dame) Tiare. They have two children: (Lord) Akami, the heir because he is the oldest male, and (Lady) Leilani, the youngest daughter. The Kealoha Dynasty has been Sulani's ruling royal family for the past 400 years now, beginning in the year 1626. However, somewhere along the line, the Kealoha Dynasty has fallen from grace. The Kealoha Dynasty was always loved by the Sulanians because of the dynasty's culture of being kind-hearted and benevolent to their people, as well as taking good care of the island and its crystal blue oceans. However, the infamous Kualana Kealoha, Nohea's 3rd great-grandfather, was a rotten apple from the tree who ruled so badly that he caused the entire island of Sulani to overthrow the Kealoha Dynasty in a nationwide uprising. Kualana was a self-entitled, cold-hearted ruler who ruled with an iron fist and caused the majority of the commoners of Sulani to be poor and hungry due to extremely high taxation. After that, the ruling Kealoha Dynasty had its ruling power stripped to being merely the governing nobility, rather than the ruling nobility that had the full trust and allegiance of the Sulanian people. The Kealoha Dynasty has also held a secret from the Sulanian people ever since they were in power; they are an ancient merfolk bloodline, meaning that they have mermaid blood. However, not everyone is a mermaid; on rare occasions, it skips a generation. Nohea, Tiare, and Akami are mermaids, but Leilani is not. Many of the Sulanians misunderstand mermaids and view the merfolk as horrifying beasts, and if the secret ever gets out now, the chances of the Kealohas ever gaining the love of the Sulanians will just go down the toilet. However, being merfolk is not the only Kealoha secret. Some secrets are bad enough to destroy and tarnish the entire dynastic name... Will the Kealohas gain back their ruling power and the trust and allegiance of the Sulanians, or will their secrets find them out and cause their name to go down in history as the worst dynasty to have ever lived, having another dynasty take over? Stay tuned....412Views4likes8Comments
