I'm playing this, too! It's insane how hard it is. :D It's just what I needed!
I thought I would have a lot more trouble remembering all the restrictions, but I think I'm doing really well. It helps that there are like only four forbidden actions that Sims do autonomously: drink water from the tap, grill non-fish items, have quick meals (which isn't a problem right now because we don't have a refrigerator yet), and use the computer for non-work-related activities. But because it's hard to keep an eye on these actions, I have autonomy turned off. It gets boring, but it's not too bad.
I had my founder, Lilliana Kelley by abroughton1005, marry Johnny Zest, who I had quit his job and join the Tech Guru career. Now he's at eSport Gamer 7, while Lilliana is at Chef 8. I decided to get most of the restrictions involving autonomous actions out of the way first, with a couple of others. I've had Lilliana catching and grilling fish since the day began, with harvested sage and strawberries to feed her growing family when there's no time for her to fish and cook, or if it's Monday after the bills and the local mob have been paid. o:)
Right now, Lillian and Johnny are the proud parents of three children: Beejey, who is a Child and who I'm grooming to take over the Business - Management career (because I do NOT want that "Sims must quit any job if they're late or come home early" restriction hanging over my head for any longer than necessary), and Toddler twins named Marina and Heidi, who will take over the Mixologist and Fast Food careers. I don't know what the next generation will do--possibly Journalist (for hygiene) and Secret Agent - Villain (because I'm running out of space to place everything, and because of where I placed things on my first floor, there's no room for stairs, and I'm REALLY going to need to spread out soon!).
I honestly thought I would want to lift the hygiene restriction first, but then I discovered that washing your hands about five times, even at the lowest level sink without an upgrade, will raise hygiene considerably. Unfortunately, the only way to bathe toddlers is with a bathtub, which I can't have, so the toddlers are going to be stinky after a few days and there's nothing I can do about that for a few generations. Fortunately, they only get taken away if you starve them. I'm so glad they can eat food off the floor!
