Aussie beach pack

For holidays, and residential!

Send you sims downunder, to where the sun is shining (except for when it's not). Send them to a land where everything is familiar, but also totally not!

Take a break from it all at the lovely coastal town of Whatsamacallit. Rent a shack for a weekend, or camp in the dunes. Don't forget your bathers/swimmers/togs, nor your surfboard!

YES!! Surfing on the surf! Catch a wave! But watch out for sharks!... Was that a fin? Was it a shark or a dolphin?
Stop in at the beach shop, have an ice cream, or a meat pie, or a custard tart, or a lamington, or a milkshake! Grab the local rag while you're there to find out what's on in the district!

What is on?
Sand, flies, a slightly fishy smell...
Fishing competition! Who can catch the biggest fish from the end of the jetty?
Beach cricket! Bowl a wicket, bat a ball, catch em out!! Howzat?
Thong toss! Get it out from between your toes, and throw it like a Frisbee!
Triathlon! Ride a bicycle from the edge of town to the beach, run along the beach, then swim to the pontoon.

You'll be wanting a feast of fish, chips and salad after all that effort! (Can be purchased from the beach shop)
Don't forget to buy a touristy t-shirt before you leave town!

Time to head inland, to Thingamybob Central

It's a rural mining town! Stay at the local pub, have dinner at the local pub, chat to the locals at the local pub, buy your groceries at the local pub! Did we mention it? The local pub is the only place in town!

Watch out, better head indoors (to the pub) a dust storm is approaching! Have a game of pool while you wait it out.

What was that about mining? Visit the silver mine museum. There's silver in them there hills!... Or there was, about 100 years ago.

Watch the local cricket match on the town oval... it's a bit dusty. Did a roo just catch him out?

Last stop on the tour? The BigSmoke

Lane ways full of cute cafes, watch cricket in the city oval, it's a proper green here. Stay in a posh hotel. Did a seagull just steal your chip? Oh, no! The word got out, now there's a whole flock of them descending on your meal!

Time for a proper coffee, with a nice slice of pav. Coffee will never taste the same again. The sun may be high in the sky, but it's late in the arvo, better go visit Dazza And Shazza for a bbq! Don't forget to grab a six-pack on the way, they'll go down a treat with the bbqed lamb.

Who needs a tropical holiday when you can head to southern downunder instead?

    Play fetch with an emu?

  • At the beginning, I was like "I can't relate to that" but then you started on the pub thing and I started cackling, I grew up in a rural town and a few of the smaller neighboring towns were like that. Although the town you described really reminded me of broken hill (I think) which I visited a long time ago and I swear all I remember about that town was the pub, the tourist shop, and the fact that they had a lot of jewelry that included iron from the hills, and opal from the hills.

I'd love to buy this pack, especially if Australia wasn't just a tourist destination but a place our sims could live too!

If I may add a few ideas:
-If they're doing an aussie pack they should do something that pays homage to our indigenous culture.
-pls no chuck a shrimp on the barbie interactions with the bbq, nobody does that. Edit: Also we don't call them shrimp, we call them prawns.
    -Sausage sizzles at bunnings
    -Sausage sizzles everywhere
-Give us election day and our democracy sausage
-In the big smoke you might pass an NPC who's marked as the prime minister, but the prime minister NPC is different every couple of weeks.
-Sims with some degree of Aussie Accent
-A tribute to steve irwin (may he rest in peace)
-Crocodiles, Dingos, Kangaroos and Possums as new pets.
  • one more thing, if they add an aussie beach pack they should also add sunburn (if it doesn't exist yet. I haven't really tried to sunburn my sims in seasons) sunscreen, aussie cork hats, and sunburn interactions (Peel flaking skin, slap sunburn, draw on friends back in sunscreen)

    Aussie is Australia, right?
Yes, that would be a great idea. Australia does have great beaches on the pictures. But what about dangerous spiders and snakes?
