Air conditioner units come with Strangerville. Ceiling Fans come with Island Living. A desk fan comes with Get to Work, I believe. - Blender machine
- Rey_EstupendoNew RookieWindow/floor AC units and desk and box fans that actually cool down rooms.
Normal curtains that fit standard sized windows. - OzSimsFamilySeasoned Novice
* air fryer
* electric kitchen grill (sandwich maker style rather than BBQ)
* food dehydrator (we have canning, but dehydrator would be another option for preserving fruits and veggies, especially if there was off-grid version as well)
* window aquaculture system for herbs and small vegetables, mine’s off-grid as it uses a solar-powered pump (could be added to some of the windows that are already in our BB catalogue)
* basic crops (wheat, corn, rice, cane…) and mill to make flour, sugar…
* workbench (or special kitchen bench added to existing kitchen benches) to make my own soaps, cleaning products, perfumes and aromatherapy oils and medicinal tinctures from herbs and plants which could then be used like herbalism and magical potions can. Cleaning products might super speed the time it takes to clean (half or quarter of the time it takes without). Using homemade soap could speed shower time.
* off-grid stereo,
* an off-grid computer (laptop with battery that needs to be recharged at work or the library for example) or typewriter - for writing skill ie no connection-based activities like ordering, socialising, researching…
* 1 and 2 square hall-stand/closet/mudroom that you actually use for coat, hat and protective boots… when you come inside
* mower for keeping grass lawns tidy (maybe a tractor and haybaler for the ranch pack)
* reusable water container (bottle, camelpack…)
* mood boost lot trait for being eco-friendly
*
While most of this is available in CC or mods, my preference is not to use this. There are times however when it is unavoidable as about 50% of my games are played micro home, off-grid, simple living, cottage industry lifestyles. The other 50% are luxury homes in comparison ?. I really enjoy the rags to riches/apocalypse legacy challenge gameplay. - JesLet40Seasoned AceThere are lots of things in my house that isn't in the sims, but if I think about what would actually be useful:
* Sewing machine
* Functioning door bell
* Wine bottles that you can serve and drink from and that can be put on a table for people to help themselves (seems to be coming with the new pack)
* Under the counter trashcan (hidden in the counter)
* Under the counter appliances (fridge, washing machine, dryer)
* Over the counter lighting that will snap to the underside of cabinets, or are part of kitchen fans (there is one of the latter but more is needed)
* Coolers that will actually store food
* Fruit bowls that work and can be filled with fruit
* Working alarm clocks
* Functional radiators
* Functional coat racks (forbid hats inside, take on or off hats, change into normal wear, change into cold weather wear)
* Functional shoe racks (forbid shoes inside, take off or on shoes, take off and on shoes for everyone in the house)
* Holiday decor that will snap to a fireplace, like garlands, string lights or stockings.
* Garlands and string lights that will snap to staircase banisters.
* Table cloths and table runners that will snap to a table and can be used in live mode (rather than buying a new table when all I want a table cloth) - suceressSeasoned NoviceModular sinks that allow you to put different faucets/controls on them.
Modular doors that let you have different trim on each side as well as different style knobs

Egg cooker (sort of dome shaped and you can stack the eggs in tiers)
Electric can opener
Snow cone machine (ok, don't have one but my sister does)
Above the range/wall mount, or shelf mount microwave
Wall cabinet with an open shelf area to hold a microwave

There is a chicken bowl decoration, would be nice if we could store eggs in it. Actually it would be nice if we had functional storing places for some stuff in game. The fruit bowls, the bread box, the flower vases, the dish drying rack, the cupcake stand, etc. - Chicklet45368Rising Traveler

Please add Burglar alarms to the sims 4 soon
There's no burglars in TS4. Do you want it just to pretend and for the look of it?
I'd rather have a doorbell camera, that could at least function and you'd get a popup telling you who was at the door. - Ice_431997New SpectatorAir flyer/Toaster/Electric kettle/Body pillow/Motorcycle
