Better column placement options and small telescopes please!!
I've been recreating Strangetown from the Sims 2 in the Sims 4, and I gotta say, there are two major things that bother me: the placement of columns, and the size of the Sims 4 telescopes.
In Sims 2, you could put columns in the middle of tiles. In Sims 4, it forces you to place them on the edges of tiles instead. You literally don't have the option to put them in the center of tiles, and that's beyond aggravating when trying to recreate builds. The columns can't be put in the right place, so it ends up looking weird.
And in the Sims 2, you had telescopes that were normal sized instead of the massive observatories that Sims 4 has. That means the telescopes from Sims 2 were MUCH easier to place. In recreating these builds from Sims 2, I end up having to extend platforms that telescopes rest on, leading to some... interesting results.

You see what I mean. This tower looked a LOT more stable in Sims 2 because it didn't have that massive overhang for the observatory. In Sims 4, it just looks awkward. Plus, on lots with limited space, you can't place telescopes because they take too darn much room!! So you have to be a rich Sim with a huge lot in order to even OWN a telescope!! I think that's just silly!! Same goes for the microscope, honestly: Real life microscopes can fit on a tabletop, but in Sims 4, they're MASSIVE and take up so much room!!! It's time to make some realistically sized versions of these items.
