Weekend Highlights
Friday - It’s finally time for a winter vacation! The Holdens have been planning a trip to Mt. Komorebi for months now. Wade and Darla love going to various places to learn more about different cultures, while Dallas and Keaton find joy in the new and exciting activities. During the first day, the Holdens went on a hike around Sembenachi to make a wish at the Ema Board near the Temple, tried a local ramen dining spot, picked out new ski gear, and sang Karaoke! It’s safe to say they thoroughly enjoyed all of the family friendly activities the town could offer!

Saturday - On the second day of their Mt. Komorebi vacation, the Holdens hit the slopes! It was a day full of snowy activities like sledding, skiing, and snowboarding. They had a sledding race, boys vs. girls, and the girls definitely won as the boys lost control of their sled. After enjoying the slopes, the kids met Yamachan at the Festival of Snow. They also took the opportunity to go hiking in the mountains to see the Cave Statue. It’s too hard to resist shouting into the cave to hear the echo that comes back! They made their way back to their ski lodge as the sun was setting. Once they got home, they tried a new hot pot recipe that the airbnb owner left for them to try.

Sunday - It was the morning of the Holden family's flight back home from Mt. Komorebi to Newcrest. The kids were so tired from some major jet lag, and Wade and Darla took care of chores around the house. It was a pretty low key Sunday to wind down from their action-packed last couple of days.
