Blueprint Builds

August Challenge

The challenge for this time is to design a house from this picture. Your build can be on any size lot and any style you choose. There is no budget but please do not use any custom content. Please hashtag with #BB41 and #AlJay2000 when you upload it to the gallery. As always, if you wish to make a household for your new build, please feel free to do that as well!

If you need a starting point, I have uploaded a shell to the gallery for you to use. This is just a guide and can be put on any size lot with any wall and foundation height.

*Note* The picture shows stairs to a basement so you can use your creativity to finish the basement in any way you wish, or you can just choose to leave it out.

I am excited to begin this challenge again and I am looking forward to seeing everyone's creativity.

I will see what kind of response I get to this challenge before I decide when the closing date is. I may let it run a little longer. Tell your friends, lol :)

I am still learning how to use the new EA Forums and am hoping to make a new Blueprint Builds challenge starting in August. I'll keep you posted :)

Not sure if I will have time to participate this month, but hopefully will in coming months.  Since all the pictures in my old slideshow threads were lost (and I didn't have some of the older ones migrated over here anyway) I am creating a brand new slideshow thread for my blueprint build entries off site, which will be here: https://simscreative.freeforums.net/thread/18/glaciersnows-entries-blueprint-builds-challenge

Right now it only has my entries from 2020 posted, but I'll be adding more as I have time over the next week or so, and when I am able to jump in on one of the new months' challenges, that's the spot I will be using for my entry slideshows going forward.

Thanks for bringing this back! I've always seen the challenge from afar and decided to try it. 

Is this a traditional shell challenge - i.e. absolutely no touching any of the walls - or is it more 'free' - make it similar to the blueprint, you can build it using your own scale, etc? 

Just a reminder that I will leave this challenge running until the end of September :)
