Buy and Run a Gym

While I was out walking this afternoon, I was thinking if we can buy and run restaurants and clothing shops, why not a gym?

Anyone who buys a gym can manage memberships, hire trainers and hold specialty classes but that depends on what facilities it offers. For example, a pre-built gym can have the basics like:

- Reception area,
- Office,
- Cafe,
- Simple Changing rooms
- Main gym with equipment

Or there could be a more state-of-the-art gym that features:

- Reception area
- Office
- Cafe
- Large Changing rooms
- Main gym with equipment
- Yoga room
- Aerobics room
- Spin cycling room
- Pool

Maybe when a gym is built, by selecting the whole room, you could label what that room is used for. A simple, carpeted room with mirrors and a stereo could be for aerobics.
Also, the trainers would need to have maxed-out fitness trait to be considered for the job and high-level ones could create their own fitness DVDs to be sold and use PCs to design the covers.

  • It's possible to set up a gym like you describe without the need to own it, except maybe for the aerobic classes though it might be possible to set up using the club system.
