My heart was in my throat while reading this update. I know you had to find a way that Eric could let Kayleigh he loved her and wrote to her weekly. I’m just glad they could come to an understanding. I enjoyed seeing the proposal and that Kayleigh said yes!
Yes, it was a bit of a sticky wicket. Navigating this problem gave me fits. I got the dialogue which begins with the segment with her heading into the Livingroom. Often, it's the dialogue that gets an update started for me. This time, I ended up having to shove that segment down and write my way over to it. Understandably, Kayleigh was very cool toward him up front. And why not? She heard nothing from him, didn't even receive his new concert schedule for her to plan their rendezvouses. Every other iteration, they just fell into each other almost automatically. In many ways they are very different from each other.
Did I share with you that I didn't create Kayleigh in CAS? She was a walk by Sim. A couple of iterations prior Erik had three girls he was sweet on. They were all in uni together. I didn't control the three girls, though. Brianna sat her older brother down and told him he had to choose, whereas Aaron and Joey managed to just make fun of his dilemma. I had a household, once they all moved off campus, that was over the number of Sims we could have on the lot. Being a dunderhead as I often can be, I totally forgot I couldn't take them into EA's CAS. Of all the Sims, Gem was removed from this household. Erik found her note and the engagement ring sitting on it. He was devastated. Turned to juice, sadly. He was well into his cups when this vision waked into the bar where he was self-medicating, if you will. It was practically love at first sight. I decided to save her to my household. I gave her the name Kayleigh and her surname. They have been an item ever since. LOL
