The morning plaza buzzed with activity as Penelope questioned a tourist near the fountain, finally gaining a solid lead. The woman described seeing a nervous teenager matching the suspect's description heading toward the basketball court the evening before.

Penelope followed the trail to the basketball court, finding the teen seated on a nearby bench, fidgeting with her phone. The girl stiffened as Penelope approached. "Excuse me," Penelope said, her tone calm but assertive. "Are you Cassie Miller?"

Cassie hesitated, her wide eyes betraying fear. “Y-yeah, why?” she stammered. With careful professionalism, Penelope took Cassie into custody, explaining her rights. The girl’s trembling hands spoke of unease—was it nerves, guilt, or something more?

Back at the station, the procedure was methodical but significant. Penelope watched as Cassie posed reluctantly for her mugshot, holding the placard with her name. The teenager’s gaze dropped, a mix of fear and uncertainty clouding her expression.
