Culture-specific packs for vacations

Venice/France

We already have Windenberg, so let's bring in something completely different and beautiful. The romantic Venice with water canals instead of roads would be a perfect destination world. This world would preferably have about 10 -12 lots in a Gothic/Renaissance style. Some of the buildings are dramatic cathedrals on the outside with renovated interiors, some look like typical buildings you'd find in Venice and there is also a splash of French flair added in.

Build mode would include mostly Renaissance Period type stuff so we can make the ultimate Royal build of our dreams. There would be many architectural detail objects like carvings, engravements etc. It would be great if a separate category for these kind of details (including Vampire scratches, SV floor blobs etc) is added.

Gamplay:

  • *shouts* NECTAR MAKING
  • *shouts slightly softer* CHEESE MAKING
  • *clears throat and talks normally* cool new recipes (fancy pasta, cold sliced meats, lots of finger food basically, frog legs because this pack is essentially replacing France from World Adventures but we still want the French stuff)
  • Candy and chocolate making. Many items to display candy and chocolates should be added so we can make adorable candy shops. This thread by @keylimepiesims has wonderful ideas and beautiful pictures and renders for a candy making theme.
  • New romantic interactions and activities.
  • Seriously though, if we get nectar making, I want my vampires to be able to bottle plasma and treat it like nectar. Plasma fruit jellies and sweets would be sweet, too
  • Also, please include a way to make nectar that doesn't involve an obnoxious modern contraption so it isn't immersion-breaking when making nectar in a medieval save or when playing off the grid.
  • New instrument: lute
  • Gregorian chant music (radio station, a few songs for sims to sing with CL singing skill?)
  • Ballroom dancing?

Africa
I actually am a South African, so this is how I imagine my ideal African-type world.

I think a Succulent Karoo type world would be perfect. It is semi-desert, so you'll get the safari feel, but it is not as barren as a desert and has beautiful scenery.

Build mode would include lots of nature-themed stuff, especially in clay, reeds and oiled wood. Colourful beads also play a big role in decorations in this culture, as well as heavily patterned objects and walls. It would be great to have a reed roof texture and a wall texture that resembles thick clay. Clay door arches and windows, as well as doors and windows that are constructed out of reeds that are bound together, would be awesome.
African decor includes a lot of little statues depicting animals and people going about their lives, masks as well as rock paintings and copper art. Cave painting rock slabs would be a real conversation-starter in any sim's home  Maybe there could even be a rock slab "easel" on which sims can make a number of paintings like hand prints etc.

Gameplay possibilities:

  • Search for animals like lions, zebras and giraffes, as well as small critters like lizards, snakes and scorpions and study them with a skill similar to anthropology in Jungle Adventures. The animals like lions cannot be interacted with outside of being observed, studied and photographed, otherwise it would waste too much resources. Sims can "collect specimens" like droppings, hair etc. and photograph animals and their footprints to analyse, write reports in a scientific journal, make donations to animal conservation etc.
  • Bird watching.
  • Drum instrument, new dances.
  • Basket weaving, mask making, pottery.
  • Update to woodworking: new sculptures and carved wooden toys.
  • Traditional African food and drink recipes.
  • Some natural remedies salves/ointments etc from harvestables in the world.

1: China/Japan

This pack would include a beautiful world with multiple small lots (maybe 15x20 lots and 20x20 lots) as well as one or two big lots to build a cool Chinese temple/castle and a nice farm.
The world would be traditional and rural, capturing a mountainous countryside village that borders a winding river and misty lake. Colourful trees, arched walls etc decorate the world. It would be cute if there is an area that resembles a rice paddy, areas with expanses of beautiful wild flowers and a temple with statues of dragons etc.

Build mode items would include traditional things from the Chinese/Japan cultures. Matching sets of paper divider screens, wallpaper, doors and windows (give us ALL the circular stuffs!). Bamboo and paper, traditional decorations and statues etc, as well as clutter like ink pots, paper scrolls and wind chimes. Nice buy mode things that expand minimalistic lifestyles (perfect for tiny houses), as well as tables and cushions where sims can sit on the floor around/on them.

Gameplay:

  • Martial arts and an extra feature for the wellness skill from Spa Day.
  • New creative skills: ink paintings and calligraphy. I think it would require a special station, as it is painted onto parchment paper, not an easel.
  • Koi fish breeding and collection. Pretty ponds to display them in a habitat instead of an aquarium are included. Other fish can also be placed in the pond.
  • A traditional instrument.
  • Astrology.
  • Fortune-telling via reading cards. There are maybe three different sets of tarot cards, and sims can paint at least one of them themselves.
  • Games like majong and checkers!
  • Hot springs and bath houses!
  • Medicinal teas made from herbs and flowers that come with the pack.
  • New recipes (sushi, soups, noodle recipes, bamboo stew, rice recipes, kimchi etc) and drinks like rice wine.
  • New produce (rice, bamboo, persimmon fruits, dragon fruit, cabbage etc.)
  • Chopsticks.
